Lava just released Storm 5G 3 days ago in India with MTK 6080, FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, 8GB RAM LPDDR4X, 128 GB UFS 2.2 storage, 33W charging, 5000 mAh battery, Near stock Android 13 with no to minimal bloat, 1 year Service at Home, 50MP main camera with 8MP wide angle (no crappy useless 2MP depth sensor or macro), 3.5mm Headphone jack, punch hole screen and glass back.
All that for INR 13,499 without discount.
This is low tier.

Overpriced, garbage chipset and display, only thing saving it from being a 0/10 is the SuperVOOC charging and somewhat good 90hz. This also proves an argument I made stated below:
If you've been keeping up with these types of phones, outside of SD695, theres SD685/680, Helio G99, ever-so-popular D6080/6080 and 6100+ as well as D6020. Other chipsets like 4 Gen 1, 480+ and hidden gems are... well, hidden! The best here is 6080 who managed a 39 rating on nanoreview.net; 6100+ got a 37 rating. To understand the rant I had, let me give you a score chart that NanoReview uses (as of September 2023):
11-29 is a D (11 is lowest recorded score)
30-44 is C (entry level or crappy mid rangers)
45-64 is B (where most midrangers sit like 778G)
65-83 is A (older flagships like A13 Bionic sit here)
84-98 is A+ (newer flagships or premiums sit here).
Phone overall is a 2/10 for 180USD. Might as well buy a A15 5G for that price anyways. Or buy a Lava Storm/Tecno Pova 5.

Currently, The Motorola G84 Costs 30 Dollars (converted 2,000 Rupees) more than this at 6GBs RAM config, yet has a 50MP Main + 8MP Ultrawide Camera Setup, a better Snapdragon 695 Chip, Double the amount of RAM and Storage, an OLED 1080p 120hz Screen, fast charging, A HEADPHONE JACK, and stereo speakers.
let me repeat that, for 30 dollars more, you can get all of this.
I guess all of the budget went to marketing instead of improving on the phone, expect the return of the Dreaded microUSB when the A510 or A5 Gen 1 or whatever naming scheme oppo will think of for their disposable "budget" phone lineup Comes out.

This is overpriced for India. The Lava phones are 20% cheaper with the same specs.
