    Wait until you're 40 years old, and your eyesight is not as good. Most of the time I can't see individual pixels.

    Why would you ever need faster updates than 60Hz? What is the purpose of 120Hz? I've used a flagship phone with 100Hz+ refresh and I absolutely think it's just a gimmick.

I actually had two Xiomis before I switched to the Pixel Pro and in my opinion, the Pixel experience is at a different level. It just works, the photos it takes are consistently well-balanced under all conditions, much more so than Xiaomi, and it's plenty powerful for virtually any task. The Assistant is far better integrated and it's actually very useful, and the chip is optimized for it.

            Apart from S21+ and Ultra all those top phones from S21FE, Mi 11 series, OnePlus 9 series, Xperia mark III series, Huawei P series etc all of them were 100 or below some even scored 76H.

            So you can cherrypick one phone but majority in series had standby issues.

            And that's not just Samsung made soc even D9000 and sd8+ gen 1 standby was so and so.

            As you can see there Poco F5 pro, Huawei P60 pro, OnePlus 10T etc failed to reach 100H mark, some had good standby like GT3 but those were few.

                It's midrange grade. Processor is about 3 generations behind flagships, and is a current generation mid-range. UFS 2 for mid-range memory speeds. Battery life below average.

                The phone may be optimized for software experience now, when reviews come out. But a mid-range performance phone won't retain the user experience 3-4 years down the line like an actual flagship, much less 7 years.

                  Honestly not see any winner here because for a lot better price every halfbaked midranger does lot more things better.
                  Pixel Fold is also probabbly worst among all foding phones for a unreasonably big price.
                  Even midrangers in fold series are garbage.
                  Lot of OS support is good only if ahrdware can keep up with software.
                  Since you cant update and improve hardware in your device longer software support is good only if you use your phone for most basic tasks like brownsing, text and calls.
                  Othervise nothing worth the very expensive pricing.

Have you ever even been close to a Pixel 7 Pro or 8 Pro? The 7 Pro is by far the most complete and satisfying experience I have ever had on Android, and the photography capabilities are the most balanced of any phone I have ever had. It's the first phone that I am keeping for another year, because I am happy enough to not feel the urge to upgrade. Yes, like most consumer products, Chinese manufacturing is cheaper and in many cases more efficient, but it doesn't mean that this is a "Chinese phone" and there is no comparison with stuff from Oppo or Xiaomi in terms of overall experience.

                          Pixel is the WORST phone from all smartphone mania.. everyone praising it ONLY because it is labelled gooooglee oommgg.. 😒🙄 so many naive ppl in the world...
                          They have no clue that they literally praising chinese generic phone manufacturer who makes this phone for google.. and YET they hate or not interested in chinese phones like Oppo or Redmi Honor ..etc... Ahhh well Einstein was right only two things are unlimited universe and human's naivety ...

                                    And what's the last custom ROM you used? CyanogenMod?
                                    Because all the ones that I use (yes I have more than 5 devices using them) are pretty much fine. No "broken" or "half-baked bits" have I experienced. At least, not after the initial few updates.
                                    Even more than a decade old Tab 2 10.1 is running Resurrection Remix without any bugs (though it's an abandoned project, which is very much expected).

                                      That's up to both Qualcomm and MediaTek to give that kind of software support window. There's a reason why Fairphone switched to the enterprise IoT version of Snapdragon SoC. The QCM6490 is basically Snapdragon 778G/778G+ with much longer software support window.
