Underwhelming and boring
Besides the device haven't seen a lot of changes since 2020 (S20)
I was really eager and excited for a Galaxy Ultra that's sub 6.1"
But Samsung is going to be Samsung

The more and more I see of the base S24, the more bad it starts to look.
S23 wasn't a big upgrade over the S22 either, most of it's problems were solved by the Snapdragon chip inside, and for the rest we got a small redesign and UFS 4.0 when you got the 256gb S23.
But S24 looks... sad, that is the nicest I can say about it.
512gb will be region specific only, so 256gb max again here, we go back to Exynos so at best the efficiency will be same as S23 or worse, still 8gb of RAM (I mean that is enough if Samsung and other brands did not close apps in the background too agressively, even on a 16gb RAM Xiaomi or 12gb S23U the apps tend to get closed because of the super agressive algorithm)
No UWB (again, look Samsung if Apple doesn't skip on it on their regular phones this make you look more silly)
And while wifi 6E is plenty, it looks even more sad the other two S24 phones do get Wifi 7.
And the screen goes up to 6.2", but the bezels look same size so the phone is bigger too now if I am correct, S23 and S22 were perfect size in this landscape of way too large phones, and if the S24 gets even bigger, only Zenfone and iPhones are left for the smaller size.
And the new purple is just ugly, has the same cheap look they did on A54 and S23 FE, but matte. I like the lavender much more on S23/Flip series.
Base S24 is a S23 with a better (US) or worse (EU) chip, S23 is a good phone already that fixed the problems of the S22, S24 brings NOTHING to the table at all.
As for the other two, S24+ is getting the biggest upgrades, 12gb RAM I did expect but a resolution bump did surprise me, sure the cameras are same as on base model, but the S24+ is now a true "in the middle" option, and not just a "large S23" like the S23+ is.
But then the chip, that is my only gripe but I'll wait until the reviews come out.
Then the S24 Ultra, finally a flat screen and that's about it, but honestly that alone would make me want it plus the worldwide S8G3 chip inside.
But I had the S23U and traded it in for a S23, curved screen was just one of my issues, the gigantic boxy design that cut in my hands was the true cultprit. I don't mind big phones but that thing is stupidly large for it's design.
But that is me, S24U will be a great phone, but the question is if the amazing battery life of the S23U will be still a thing, or if it will get worse or better.

Is the Bluetooth still 5.3? Instead 5.4... some flagship phone release around Q4 2023 already 5.4

And they bash Sony for looking the same, well guess what! Samsung having a huge android marketshare compared to Sony can't even hire a competent designer & is now just reusing 3 generation of the same looking phone.

The only good thing about this is that now the s23 ultra will lower its price more and it will be a better option than it is, which is supposed to be the new one*

Ultra already got two changes in camera hardware since the S22 while the base and plus still got the same since S22. WTF is Samsung doing??

the camera specs on the ultra are wrong. There will be a 10X periscope camera

I think they should have went with significant upgrades for base S24 for people to swallow the exynos pill. It barely has any upgrades over the S23.

Hope they ditch the 26mm front cam. It's super narrow specially when recording video. Make it wider.

I have s23 ultra.. This 24 is the same thing.. Nothing change.. Just titaniu added.. No thank you... 😏
