newflesh, 29 Dec 2023Still the 19,5:9 from the looks of it (judging from the pics) yupp.. but it's not "still", it's changing the ratio for previous Ultra model
      - Note10/10+ : 19:9 (3040x1440)
      - Note20U, S22U, S23U : 19.3:9 (3088x1440)
      - S24U : 19.5:9 (3120x1440)
so the display ratio on the next Ultra is identical with non-Ultra model

Filh, 30 Dec 2023What else to buy then smarty There are plenty of other options, basically infinite.

Chinese OEMs getting early dips are not volume seller, and they only sell in very select markets. The one that is usually late is Google, as they usually release the Pixel phones late in the year, with a lesser Tensor chip to boot, while Qualcomm is already prepping for the next Snapdragon 8 chip.

Typically, a modern phone battery's (lithium-ion) lifespan is 2 – 3 years, which is about 300 – 500 charge cycles as rated by manufacturers. After that, the battery capacity will drop by roughly 20%. How often you charge will affect the battery life, for better or worse

I could easily replace it , but rather do it once battery is at like 70-75% health or I really struggle to make it to the evenings, still happy with its performance so could just replace battery and keep it longer, but I have itch to upgrade now I've had it for few years and OnePlus 12 is very tempting

justasmile, 30 Dec 2023That dude definitely did not get it anywhere in 2020.bought it May 17, 2021, so I have had it for around 2 years 6 months , so over this time if I charged at least once per day now I would have done around 912 charging cycles pretty sure I've done more with days with heavy usage, so it estimated showing around 80% I think its done well and as expected not degraded any worse

A normal battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 500 complete charge cycles when operating under normal conditions

In general, the average battery lifespan of a smartphone is around 2-3 years. However, it is important to note that this is an estimate and can vary depending on the factors mentioned above. After this period, the battery's capacity may start to degrade significantly, resulting in reduced battery life and the need for more frequent charging

Scon88, 30 Dec 2023Can we stop making the screens bigger it almost feels like ... moreThe screen sizes of base S models has more or less remained the same for quite a few years now. In fact the screen size has shrunk since they moved from curved to flat screens.
