curvybaby, 31 Dec 2023no curve screen no buy👍

Too many articles here and online have already stated "Live Translate and Generative Edit" roughly 3 months ago.

curvybaby, 31 Dec 2023no curve screen no buyWhy though? Curved screen is, in my opinion, just a gimmick. It doesn't do anything different than a flat screen; in fact, it's more of a hindrance because the curve is more prone to accidental touches and misclicks.

I'll stick with S23 Ultra or buy the new Honor Magic 6 Pro if it'll be OK because this S24 it's really disappointing.
5x instead of 10x, so a downgrade, AI that I think it'll be way overvalued, and the most important thing: shtxynos instead of Snapdragon.

Anonymous, 31 Dec 20231) samsung does not make lenses, it is bought from Largan ... morePlease, just stop writing nonesense!
Since when is incorporating an IRIS scanner or any other hardware copying?

As far as software features are concerned, you wrote crap, too:
            - What does DeX mode have to do with "Continuum"?
            - You didn't know of S Voice before Bixby or Siri?
            - You didn't know that Object Eraser existed before Magic Eraser?
            - You didn't know that "Unblur" was part of "Remaster picture" before Pixel introduced it?
            - You didn't know that "S translater was introduced" with Galaxy S4?
            - You didn't know that live transcription was introduced with Galaxy S4?
            - You didn't know that other photoe modes from Pixel (e.g., the Drama shot) were introduced with Galaxy S4?
            - You didn't know that "Selective Focus" was introduced with S4, 10 yers before Apple introduced the feature to change the focus afterwards"?
            - You didn't know that .... tons of other things.

Samsung is just reintroducing own features that were ahead of their time 10 years ago!

Why can't samsung camera add an option to enable the torch light!?

The source for this article is NO longer there. The problem I have with this is it seems to have been the SOURCE of the S24+ also getting Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This would mean only the S24 released with Exynos 2400, at 'logical' odds with Qualcomms CEO,
Until Samsung states otherwise I don't think people should rely on this, The Exynos 2400 won't be a poor mans substitute, Samsung novel 10 Core SoC may even be snapping at Dimensity heels.

Unfortunately like these predictions posted on X they ARE then are picked up and the unsubstantiated unverified tweet is always the source.

Arsène Lupin only started posting in mid September 2023 under 4 months but clearly has learnt a lot from his peers or fellow non seeing seers. Samsung are not leaking to him

                https://news.samsung.com/au/a-new-era-of-galaxy-ai-is-coming-heres-a-glimpse
                ALREADY OUT THERE
He chose his name for a reason
Arsène Lupin is a fictional gentleman thief and master of disguise created in 1905 by French writer Maurice Leblanc. The character was first introduced in a series of short stories serialized in the magazine Je sais tout. The first story, "The Arrest of Arsène Lupin", was published on 15 July 1905

I read the article less than an hour ago. Gsmarena and Google search resulted in this post Arsène tweet appears to be a collection of information already out there some information is wrong, in the main stands more chances of being correct. Samsung has its version of LPTO using LTPO will mean paying Apples for its patented version for an identical product.

                From 21/12/23 Evan Blass@evleaks source
                Last paragraph of Gsmarena article

"The press material suggests all three Galaxy S24 phones will bring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset but we do know that some regions like Korea, Europe and India will get the Exynos 2400 instead"

                S8Gen3
Evan Bass ALL 3? Arsène 2? Qualcomm CEO 1 just the Ultra (my bet ONE ALSO!)

All I am saying if in restaurants DON'T eat you food in the kitchen wait until it is actually served, preferably cooked even by the person employed as the chef.

Finally the Exynos 2400 is awaiting an official announcement, you would expect that at least one of these many sources on X would have something to say, nothing

This is finally, 'Live Translate" on Pixel is an AMAZING tool having just watched a YouTube video for this post. Briefly some languages are just text, some you can get audio, embedded captions, translate audio foreign language video, not universal translation but a Very Very Good start. Unknown if it will use Google or if Samsung has its own proprietary version.

Question is, will the Exynos version gets feature parity with the Snapdragon version? So far these features seem to be hinted as a feature of the phones with Snapdragon SoCs.

The biggest news seems to be a few software gimmicks that can be done with apps and AI on demand.

Yes, Samsung uses third party suppliers. That is a necessity for a company consistently selling over 200 million devices.

Again, Largan is NOT a supplier of any lenses on the S series. I don't even think they supply anything for the cheaper models either at this point. They used to, but as far as I know, they are not listed as a supplier for Samsung any longer.

Happy New Year, and enjoy being chronically wrong about everything. You seem like that kind of "person".

curvybaby, 31 Dec 2023no curve screen no buyIt's been years since I've dreamed about a flat screen, to be able to use tempered glass protectors again :))
Been through S7 Edge, S10+ and notes, and all the time I hated not being able to use a tempered glass protector, despite having really enjoyed the phones.
Both have advantages and disadvantages, but I for one and really holding my fingers crossed for a completely flat screen on the Ultra, on which I've set my eye. Otherwise, I may go with the plus just to be able to use a good tempered glass protector.

Samsung does not make all pieces inside their phones. Phones have tons of pieces.

                                    1) Yes, lenses are Largan, just like iphones and many chinese phones
                                    2) devices powered by Qualcomm, Unisoc and Mediatek chips.
                                    3) Samsung does not get batteries only from samsung battery division. Since after note 7 scandal. There are batteries from chinese and indian suppliers. (Certification of s24 series batteries prove)
                                    4) many devices have image sensors also made by Sony, Hynix and GalaxyCore.
                                    5) radio, nfc, thermometer and other hardware are bought
                                    6) external materials are bought, not in-house
                                    7) some devices (usially those very cheap) are ODM.
                                    8) not all galaxy phones use samsung screens

Anonymous, 31 Dec 20231) samsung does not make lenses, it is bought from Largan ... moreAs far as I know, Samsung have never bought lenses from Largan. They settled a patent dispute ages ago for mobile lenses with them, that is it. Samsung is outsourcing assembly of some zoom and UW lenses to manufactures in S. Korea and China, they do however make the main sensor in-house and some of the rest. For cheaper models I don't doubt they outsource most of it.

Samsung had a smart assistant on the first Galaxy S, before Apple introduced Siri. They're both based on the same third party product. Neither of them "invented" it.

Nokia did not invent Iris scanners. That is stupid. Also, Samsung doesn't sell phones with iris scanners any longer.

Samsung Windows integration is WAAAAY more complex than Windows Phone's old desktop integration. Microsoft adapted Samsung software in Windows 10 and 11.

Not even going to bother with the rest of your nonsense.

POINT IS: SAMSUNG MANUFACTURES ALL PARTS IN THEIR PHONES. NONE OF THE BRANDS YOU MENTION CAN DO THAT. NOT ONE.
