    It's not that consumers are WILLING to pay, it's that they're FORCED to pay such high prices for "premium" devices. The high end of the smartphone market is functions almost like a cartel of Apple, Samsung, and Google or Huawei and Xiaomi depending on your market. You'll have one option from each in the ~$700 price range, one in the ~$1000 range, and maybe a more expensive foldable. Buy anything cheaper like a Pixel A series, or Galaxy A series and get branded as poor. How can you misinterpret the data so badly?

                    pay a lot of money especially for iPhone but you can get a better experience on Android for around $300. I'll just say 60Hz on the iPhone to start with.
