If Firefox OS is just for cheap Chinese phones then why are manufacturers like Sony and LG already committed on making a phone using Firefox OS?

here is the link to the to the article just in case you tell me i have no proof :http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_announces_firefox_os_mobile_device_in_development_-news-5612.php

LG is the 3rd largest Smartphone makers in the world!
They have all the core technologies.
Hopefully LG will adopt FireFox OS.

lg bought WebOS - they said it would be used only for TVs, but maybe they would consider using it for smartphones, as a backup plan - like Samsung has tizen.

the reason i like lg is that they take there time to plan there strategy lg disided not to continue with nexus because it cost some problems for the company but at thesame time it bring some level of sucess you quit when the ovetion is loudest lg has done well with the nexus. having an lg tab in my hands will be lovely am getting tired of my ipad lg rocks

It's going to be low level Firefox devices since Mozilla named LG as one of their clients a few months back. Why does LG hate WP so much now though?

                              it is quite interesting.
1st: the head of the news said: "LG planning new tablet for Q3 2013, not working on a Nexus 5"
but we are all talking about something a little bit more interesting, LG maybe go with another OS in the near future,
.--about the tablet: well, well i hope LG do better this time (a lt better)
.-- about the next nexus: it interesting as well, this news ends with all rumors that point a new lg nexus,

and about the new directions that lg is planning: very good, my hope they do a quite good chipset and decide for a Ubuntu OS on your devices.

I don't believe LG is going with tizen cause Samsung is their arch enemy and they are not going with Firefox because it's more like an OS for cheap Chinese phones. Sailfish or Ubuntu sounds better, I hope for Sailfish OS personally.

as cool as it sounds, 3D capturing is not very practical. i saw the LG phone with 3D cam and it is super cool, just like smart stay and all the other goodies from samsung. the ONLY FLAW is there was no forced 3d for 2d stuff so only a few apps could make use of this feature, which made it impractical - if it were full-time 3D on the other hand.......

Ubuntu cab be a killer choice.
Ubuntu and Android are compatible in kernel level so LG can give out dual-boot devises which i believe can be considered a cool feature.
