[deleted post]A54 has been at the top of, or close to the "top of daily interest" list since it came out.

So yes, yes they do still buy Samsung.

It only took Samsung 6 years to bring back glass and metal on their A series phones
          Congrats!
Now how long is it gonna take them to reduce the bezels? Hmmm

It looks more expensive than S24

I Just Read, 03 Jan 2024This "Key Island" thing is extremely ugly" ... moreIt doesn't look too good on you, when you are yet again the only one disagreeing with half of the comment section, only because I was the one behind one of those comments. The "Key Island" is ugly, deal with it.

Bodygard, 03 Jan 2024 (with no charger in the box, of course) Thank you Apple... moreShould be forbidden to advertise charge speeds if charger that can deliver that isn't included in the box. That's like advertising car can hit top speed of 400 km/h, but we won't include the engine. It's ridiculous. On top of that, even if you get a capable charger, you won't get advertised speeds and I'm especially looking at you Samsung, with your bizarre claims that make no sense. S23 Ultra, allegedly can charge at 45W. Plugged into a 65W PD charger and all it does is 32W at very peak, but really charges at only 25W. Ironically, plugging it into a 25W PD charger and it charges at 25W at its peak and 20W realistically. With IDENTICAL charge time to the faster charger that charges at 32W. How does that make any kind of sense? Not to mention their own 45W charger doesn't even charge at 45W and its charge times are still unreasonably slow.

Meanwhile Poco X4 GT that I had as backup phone, charges at 66W and actually comes with a charger that can deliver that in the box. And actually charges at ridiculous speeds. They can brag about it, because not only they include the actual charger, they actually charge fast.

                  No wireless charging no buy

The key island is there probably to differentiate it from S24 and S24+. Or maybe to prevent older phones' cases from fitting XD

(with no charger in the box, of course)

Thank you Apple for teaching and encourage other brands to make more profits but telling consumers it's for the sake of sustainability and environment. Of course people will have to buy chargers separately (and they will make more money), even if for enjoying the faster charging speeds brands advertise. Wow :)

This "Key Island" thing is extremely ugly"

                        Kettle pot.
This is the level of inanity / inability to convey a coherent thought to anyone / anything

Seriously cut and paste those 7 words post anywhere
Yes it's A55 Exynos 1480 article! SO OBVIOUS.

                        ON POINT
Nothing has changed, except the Exynos 1480 specs NEW DETAIL 4nm (This is the 4nm version of the 5nm Exynos 1380)

If that is the case then new A35 would imo get the Exynos 1380, and the A55, Exynos 2100. [A25, A34 ,A54 comparison below]

My previous post on this very same topic is the cut and pasted here (article embedded in this article)

"In the article 17/12/23 I posted already on this.(Spoiler alert Exynos 2100) Full reason given there so link to that post
                        https://www.gsmarena.com/newscomm-60939p3.php

This is either the source "cover version" of that three day old story, this article literally states the A55 won't get an upgrade at all.

The reason why. These mocked up stories are created in isolation, not considered that the A55 is part of a range.

We now have specs for the newly released A25
                        https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=12555&idPhone2=12074&idPhone3=12070

Only if both the A35 and A55 don't get MAJOR COLOUR CHANGES does this new article source makes little sense.
"So if you had hoped the A55 would finally be a huge leap for CPU performance in Samsung's best-selling line of smartphones, that hope needs to be postponed for another year at least" Even Gsmarena has doubts.

Finally we'll for me not these story spinners the Exynos 1480 architecture if correct are similar to the Dimensity 8000. In essence upgrade or not the A55 to use a SoC not released with features not known... I believe"

Key island in glass houses ....

So, seems like they're keeping the same ODM as the one they used for the A54/S23FE, aka heavy bulky unit with huge bezels. Seems like Samsung is intentionally making their premium mid-rangers ugly to nudge people to just buy the proper flagships.

Except the chpiset everything looks good
They even made the bezels a tad bit smaller

Really ugly and bad Exynos chipset. Why are Samsung trying to kill the A5x series?
