03 January 2024
And possibly the regular Realme 12 Pro too. The company is advertising the periscope as the mark of a true flagship.

jerem06, 04 Jan 2024This is a serious downgrade compared to the 7 Gen 3 rumors.... moreI think that both realme 12 Pro 5G series models will receive UFS 3.1, given that realme already used it in the realme 11 Pro series. Even the HONOR X9b/Magic6 Lite also got UFS 3.1, which is a very tremendous storage speed upgrade over the very weak UFS 2.2 system on the HONOR X9a/Magic5 Lite because of the crippled Snapdragon 695 processor where anything over 500 MB/s in sequential read/write speeds is a no go.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is far weaker than its counterpart, let alone a downgrade. It's not even competition at this point.

Hackbox, 04 Jan 2024no SD 7 gen 3 then no realme 12 series.Anyway... the realme 12 Pro series will be powered by:

realme 12 Pro - Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 (because of 2.2 GHz frequency, the only one with this frequency to consider as a "performance upgrade" over the Dimensity 1080/7050)
realme 12 Pro+ - Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (because it is one of the confirmed processors in the 12 Pro series)

no SD 7 gen 3 then no realme 12 series.

Apparently this is supposedly coming with the OV64B as a periscope. That's quite impressive for a midranger as it's coming with better zoom hardware than quite a few expensive flagships. Of course the optimisation and price are yet to be seen but it's an impressive periscope in terms of hardware at least.

I'm not aware of any 2x periscope lenses of a smartphone camera. They normally start at a higher zoom level than 2x

This brand sounds funny.. Realme 😂
Can't you pick a more professional name?

Probably realme pro+ will become realme's new series of higher-end phones- oh wait that'll bottleneck the GT series' sales.

And I'm wondering if the Pro would come with ultrawide lens too.
