I certainly would have updated to p60 or future p70 but without google services out of the box, the phone will just have too many limitations that I simply don't have the time to solve using available workarounds.
And there is one more thing that annoys me a lot: The nano memory slot does not work. It destroyed my original Huawei 128 GB NM card and after replacing it with a HP 256GB card, the memory extension still does not work.
Reading up in various forums, this seems to be quite a common problem with many P30 phones that the NM card slot just stops working.

They can create something cool, like Vivo X100 Pro or Oppo Find X6 Pro. Yep, it's not really new technologies, but Samsung and Apple can't just put 1-inch sensor, for example.

Huwaie as always far from GSM and Indian market with big price with shortage accessories, no assurance on product given by the company.Never mentioned apple, was mainly referring to networking companies like Nokia and Ericson. But Apple has been accused in the past, just like huawei were. Huawei were never officially caught, they just believed they were. Huawei even challenged them to prove it and they couldn't overtake or shallow apple. Waiting for Nothing phone update... Races are on without horses

Cvekla, 04 Jan 2024Industry changer for sure. I'm sick and tired of produ... moreOf course Huawei has higher prices due to investments in their store and other related companies who produce their components in phones.
Cutting all the supplies and suppliers for them was a huge blow but they succeeded to keep up.
I hope they will be OK with their chips, Samsung with exynos etc, to have a proper competition in the market.

Ottonis, 04 Jan 2024So, the ultrawide module is going to have an 1"-type s... moreSeeing as Huawei used a 25mm lens (they sometimes use 26mm or even 27mm though) in the Huawei P60 Pro, it's likely that they'd use 25mm for the main and something in between 12mm and 13mm for the ultrawide. I doubt they could have a 1.0"-type sensor behind a 28mm lens *AND* have aperture blades for ten-step variable focal aperture blades. Hell, they probably couldn't even do the first step, consider just how much bulk it would add.

There are some arests of suspects in Russia, too.
Police told that rissian scientists sold information to China.
It's not only USA's problem.
For example, almost all Chinese tanks, jets and other military tech look like Soviet tech.

Industry changer for sure. I'm sick and tired of producers ignoring UW cameras for years, sticking with basic 8/12 mpx sensors.
Too bad Huawei is still too far away from usable without G services. Walkarounds do exist but are still fiddly and limited. Huawei prices here are often higher than mainstream flagships so it stays in the hands of enthusiasts.

So, the ultrawide module is going to have an 1"-type sensor?
One would assume, that the main wide angle module would have an 1"-sensor as well?
If that's true (which I have some doubts), then we can only hope that there will be a photographically significant gap between the focal length of the UWA and the WA module.
For example 14mm and 28mm would be just perfect.
And then they will hopefully add the 1/2" sensor for the tele lens which could be optically around 90mm focal length.

Finally. Some good innovation from Huawei again. If only all flagships did this.
At least we also have Vivo's macro-focusing periscope-style telephoto with the Vivo X100 Pro, which is even better than the Huawei P60 Pro's one; and the Oppo Find N3's/OnePlus Open's cameras that are as good as most flagships in a foldable's body. I genuinely hope for more innovation like this in 2024.
