Hardware Hypervisor, 05 Jan 2024Samsung have to pay $200 to Qualcomm for each Snapdragon 8 ... moreThe difference there is that Apple is doing its own RnD because it's their own chip which TSMC only fabricates. Same goes for Samsung with their own Exynos. In opposite to that is the Snapdragon which is Qualcomm's chip and therefore Samsung has to pay a lot more money for this for sure.

Hardware Hypervisor, 05 Jan 2024Samsung have to pay $200 to Qualcomm for each Snapdragon 8 ... more... and remember all android SoC : qualcomm, mefiatek & exynos use always arm architecture : cortex axxx = means never forget arm and who we are !

Hardware Hypervisor, 05 Jan 2024Samsung have to pay $200 to Qualcomm for each Snapdragon 8 ... moreIf thats the case, Samsung can ditch Snapdragon entirely and use Exynos on all models.
Then Snapdragon will find it difficult to get buyers.
      Win for Consumers.

Question for backfilling: why did they refuse at first and then return it? It’s stupid

samsung should move away from both and use mediatek dimensity 9300 just to solve that stupid exynos vs snapdragon bs

Samsung have to pay $200 to Qualcomm for each Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
While Apple only pay $50 to TSMC for each A17 Pro.

So, S24U gets 8G3 worldwide, S24+ gets 8G3 in 55-75% countries and S23 is Exynos besides US and canada.

Ah yes, chipset segmentation at it's finest. I like how Samsung knows their chipset is already hated/shitted in US/Canada so they just give use the better chipset while others get Exynos. Crazy how Samsung looks down upon their own creation.
