Also, only few geeks there would pay 1300-1600 on these phones.
Not even in China they pay over $1000 unless it is apple or huawei.

We are living in the days where the S+ phone is more expensive than the iPhone Pro Max. Incredible.

The software is the other part, but besides the objective advantage of the extended updates, it all comes down to personal preference. We're talking about €900+ phones, it doesn't matter which "neverheardof" company we mention, they all will provide at least a lag free experience. All of the UIs are still built upon android, so you can customize it and make it however you please
Samsung and Apple has some of the best software for sure, but does the software alone worth to give up the 1" sensors, variable apertures, best quality telephotos, most advanced screens, fastest charging speeds and all the other top-notch technologies of the smartphone world ? There is no right answer, but for me and some others, its clearly a no.

I frequently travel to Europe from China and notice a huge difference between phones I have had with and without band 20, especially when I am driving and traveling around on holidays. Also you have no official warranty when importing and have to rely on a third party warranty. It's also illegal to import to Europe from China and not pay VAT (although most people probably won't care about that). Still may be worth it for some but there are pros and cons

Oh yeah, and as I said, you pay for the experience other than the specs itself, and that's where the big brands like Apple (not my cup of tea imo) and Samsung are pretty much the best at.

That better experience isn't Samsung's One UI for everyone.

Also, you pay higher for the better experience, not just the specs. And even if you just look at the specs itself, they're also quite good too.

I don't understand why the're still releasing flagship phones with 128GB storage.

dcdev, 05 Jan 2024€1809, haha, they're jokingExactly. These are Apple practices. For that price I expect 24GB RAM instead of 12GB, a 7,2" inch screen diagonal (hello there my beloved Huawei Mate 20X) instead of 6,8", at least 5500mAh but preferably 6000(+)mAh battery capacity, 2 or 3 USB C ports (hello there my GF's beloved Asus ROG phone 5S), and 1" inch 50 to 200Mp sensors across the board. With such a price the BoM is no longer a valid excuse.
