[deleted post]In my opinion Asus is too afraid of S24 competition, so holds all reviews globally until 17th of January (S24 premiere). Just wait until next Wendesday.

I have the RedMagic 8S Pro, the front facing camera is pathetic. Laughable really. The software is horrible. The hardware is amazing, the full screen is amazing, the battery is amazing.
But I want this. Before the ASUS ROGs were just too long and annoying to carry around. I think this is the biggest thing they fixed with this update. I wonder when it will be available in the US!

Triple H, 10 Jan 2024they like to play angry birds and candy crush on it...lol s... moreI use emulators to play games on my phone. My rog3 handles ds/3ds and ps2 games fine. Not able to handle switch games though.
Either way this phone looks like they ruined the line, no front speakers, bezels, and a hole on the front for a camera? Get rid of the front camera for all I care I want to use it as a phone. There's a rear camera if you want to take pictures, why ruin the screen which is the only thing you look at on the phone while using it.

Honestly, this line of products lost all of its flair gens ago. Now it's just a mainstream smartphone with some gaming features. It's true what they say : First gen is bold and groundbreaking, but by gen 10 it's all gone.

yalim, 10 Jan 2024if you want to play games for long hours, play on a proper ... morethey like to play angry birds and candy crush on it...lol seriously what's the point of gaming phone when there is no AAA titles like sony spiderman, uncharted, forza horizon 5, re remake , the last of us, witcher 3 etc etc to play with.. yeah u can do cloud gaming but that need high bandwidth internet for smooth gaming..which defeat the purpose. emulation? pls ..the touchscreen buttons layout is a nightmare to play on gaming phone.u need a controller for that. might as well emulate it on proper gaming pc...

Whether they are impressive or not d... moreI don't understand what you mean by sidetracking when the only downside of a punch hole camera is the tiny area it takes up on the screen that you don't even notice in game, while an under display camera has real downsides you notice whenever you use it. I suppose you're part of the generation that uses filters for everything so you're used to it

if you want to play games for long hours, play on a proper console, not on a tiny display 40cm far from the eye. these devices tend users to be less and less productive from a much capable device.

Asus remove ROG DNA top and bottom bar that contain great 2 speaker (amplifier) provide excellent sound in front while gaming or YouTube, notification LED, the bar help easy handle phone in landscape,...
than ROG8 transform/become Xiaomi, Samsung with that round black dot annoy selfie camera :-)

They've finally toned it down in styling. Ive always like the ROG phones but the gamer aesthetic just was such a turn off. Its finally something anyone can use. But tell us about the headphone jack!
