06 January 2024
Apparently, Huawei is using old TSMC stockpiles of 5nm chips.

Now let's talk about that "Nick". Let's talk about how thier early 3G infrastructure even began. Yes. Let's.

Huawei did not disclose anything who is the manufacturer. All is rumors & speculation from western agencies.

What is this discussion all about?

The whole point of this article is, that china has claimed that US sanctions did not work and they already moved on with their own chips production. Now it is clear that it was all a lie. This are chips made 4 years ago in taiwan using western technologies.

So all this talk about chinese new 4nm chips etc... in new devices about SMIC being competitive without western technology etc... it was all a lie.

No matter if you like china, chinese technologies or huawei. It is clear that this was one big lie - the opposite of truth. It is not new chinese chip domestically manufactured after sanctions, but rather old chip manufactured in taiwan using western tech 4 years ago.

5nm is still pretty efficient if done right. Qualcomm first used 5nm for Snapdragon 888 and 888+, and they couldn't got it right all along because of Samsung fabrication process.

                                    - Free-form lenses are real and there's a reason why companies like OnePlus and Oppo also adopted it for their UWA lenses. They never lied anything about it, yet you keep saying it's fake despite all the proofs that exist to prove otherwise.
                                    - Moon photos are not "taken from the internet", they shouldn't have advertised it in the way they did but what you said is simply not how it works.
                                    - There's nothing fake about Kirin 9000s.
                                    - They never claimed their image sensors to be in-house.
                                    - I hope you'll say the same about Sony/Vivo's Zeiss lenses which are manufactured and certified in the same way.

"Deal with the fact the intelligence agencies of many nations think H is spy"
Did it never cross your mind that the US want companies they have authority over to build the network infrastructure of ally countries, and there would be no way for Huawei to be effectively controlled by them? There are valid reasons to reduce the reliance on Huawei's network equipment for many companies, but swallowing and choking on US "national security" claim is the dumbest thing you can do given the situation.
