Tranquillow, 07 Jan 2024I've tried 45W, virtually no difference between it and 25W.There will be no difference if you don't use the correct cable and charging brick. Otherwise there is almost a double difference

safin asa, 07 Jan 2024Have you ever tried 70w?No I haven't, because none of my Android devices support it, and I am not looking to upgrade especially to a device that does anything north of 45W.

Ross, 07 Jan 2024Nice, half of phones from the list available on in China / ... moreOf course they are. You can order them on Giztop.

Anonymous, 07 Jan 2024weren't your Sony fans previously with the 3.5mm jack ... moreOf course, I'm still a big Sony fan for keeping those still-relevant hardware and still going to have it in the first place. However, Sony doesn't develop their own Android Desktop Mode solution, unlike Samsung, which did with DeX. That's why I don't see the need to get the S23 Ultra or even the S23+ when the vanilla S23 is already good enough for such a purpose. In fact, DeX is the only reason why I even bother to look at Samsung in the first place.

P.S. Motorola's Ready For is a worthy alternative to Samsung's DeX, but my country hasn't got any new flagship phone since the Edge 30 Pro. Not even the ThinkPhone hit my shores, either. There's also Huawei's EMUI Desktop and Honor's Magic Desktop, but the lack of pre-installed Google services with the former can be bothersome.

notafanboy, 06 Jan 2024You know someone is a Samsung simp when they say 25W chargi... moreNo one says 25W charging is great, compared to other fast charging solutions.

The thing is though that as we have seen many times with Iphones and Samsung phones(most sold flagships that people keep for years), people also care about battery health, besides fast charging.
And in these companies, changing batteries isnt very cheap in the first place(apple charges like over 100euro on latest iphones).

Thats why many people dont charge their phone anyways over 85%, so slower charging doesnt bother them that much since all they need is like 30-40minutes top to charge their phone from 25% to almost 80%.
Or why many people avoid wireless charging.

Faster charging is convenient, but faster battery degrade sucks.

For me personally 45-65W charging is the sweet spot.

Anonymous, 06 Jan 2024Once u try 65w, u cant go back. I've tried 45W, virtually no difference between it and 25W.

Anonymous, 06 Jan 2024It'll just be a revolutionary feature when Samsung or ... moreBecause Samsung has established with 45 W chargers that anything higher has diminishing returns w.r.t. charging time. Many reviewers even at GSMArena have covered this in reviews the difference is in mere minutes compared to 25 W that is not worth investing extra money in 45 W. 60 W and above may give some significant difference, but Samsung considers it unsafe which is right.

Also battery wear should be considered. The more times it replaces, the more times your phone will be opened at service.

notafanboy, 06 Jan 2024You know someone is a Samsung simp when they say 25W chargi... moreStill acceptable in 2024, it even charges the S23+ with a 25w charger in 1hr, nearly the same time as 45w.

With the exception for Find N3 Flip and iQOO 12, it's a great list overall. I always love what Vivo has done with the X series, especially when they have ZEISS on board. I also like the vanilla S23 as it's more than enough for me as a DeX machine.

Fast charging is why laptop battery do not remain well more than 15 months if charged daily.

                                        Does not bother me.
Low temperature and fact battery will remain good 3-4 years is what matters to me.

Just use a 15W charger with chinese phones and you will be seeing that phone remains way cooler compared to those 65, 90, 120, 240W.

By the way, very suspicious Oppo gives 100W to own phones but has Vooc of 240W for some realme phones.
