5.8ghz still mann where is 7 ghz at? Intel said 6 ghz at like what 2016? Still no 6ghz and never to hit 7 ghz not to mention, my intel processor is 6 generations old and it still manages to perform rougly the same at same power

That any models of Intel Core Ultra is like an incredible piece of that hardware. Its hybrid processing, its power efficiency, its NPU, put them seriously as great for medium to heavy productivity.

I meant if I daily drive with a laptop like this SoC, just like a smartphone, it would for me a great choice just bring them and walk around with them.

Another refresh of the refesh of the refresh. 😂😂😂😂

So there's 14th Gen Intel Core i-series processors, and also Core Ultra and Intel Processor, presumably on the 1st generation.

This is not confusing at all.

Meteor Lake sure has good Arc GPUs, too bad they're exclusive to the Mobile H and U series Processors.

I kinda wish Intel made a seperate Desktop CPU Lineup that has the Iris XE/Arc iGPUs inside, kind of like Ryzen G Series, or even better, if they're gonna use Chiplet Designs for their Future Desktop CPUs (Arrow Lake), then they should replace the outdated UHD iGPUs with the Arc iGPUs, since they're 60-30% Better than the UHD iGPUs.

Oh well, my idea probably will either make their CPUs hotter than the sun or extremely expensive.

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2024It seems that it uses 10 nm process. AMD used 7 nm process ... moreBUT because of amd using lower nanometers they have had production issues in the past.

Hackbox, 10 Jan 2024I hate this phenomena, last year unsold CPU will refreshed ... morethis nothing new. intel did this multiple time. skylake>coffelake>kaby lake. hasswell>broadwell too. its changing name and generation but in truth little improvement each generation its almost like refreshed CPU. they probably still stick 4 core and 8 threads tbh if not because ryzen, since ryzen release 2016 intel forced to more competitive, and alder lake was the result of intel forcing to answer ryzen and custormer demand. they also using confusing name to confuse customer. and using term "intel 7" for their processing note for alder lake, raptor lake and raptor lake refereshed. its "intel 7" while the truth its still using 10nm. i dont say AMD not doing it but AMD at least better than intel in term anti custormer policy, both doing it, but AMD better. for example AM4 socket is 8 years this year and yet AMD still introduce new CPU for AM4 socket, you can even using old MOBO for new CPU, i bet the board partner not gonna happy with AMD policy. this probably the longest lifespan for socket. while intel almost using new socket for every 2 generation cpu.

...until Modern Standby is fixed via a concerted effort of chipmakers (e.g. Intel), BIOS devs, and PC manufacturers (and NOT kicked down the road to OS coders)?

                            pass

I can tolerate intel's incompetence if they priced their stuff accordingly, but intel still pretends their sub-par product is worth the premium pricing. Seriously, I'm still seeing new premium laptops on the market using old 12th or 11th gen intel chips. Their pricing and their sub-par product makes the overpriced macbooks look like the better deal, it's ridiculous.

                                2. Close your ears.

It seems that it uses 10 nm process. AMD used 7 nm process already in 2019. AMD is expected to use 3 nm process in their upcoming processors this year.

Process width is in my opinion the most important metric of any processor. Lower value improves performance, reduces power consumption and reduces heat production.

I hate this phenomena, last year unsold CPU will refreshed and change the name, bring to Market. AMD is also doing same thing in last year. now Intel also.
