The Huawei P70 is rumored to bring a new chipset, the Kirin 9010

Three years ago there was talk of a Kirin 9010, which was going to be a 3nm chip. It's not clear whether that is still the case.

I would live it, its the best optimized chip i ever had in a phone... Last one for me was in Mate 20X 💪🏻

thats crazy that they might have a 3nm chip, but how?

Clients (Samsung, oppo, sony, asus, motorola, vivo, xiaomi etc) have no say here.

It would be wild to see them debut a 3nm SoC
The government is putting a lot of money into them, so it wouldn't be that suprising

It is not true to say that Kirin 9000s processor is slower than 9000. We can only say that it is slower in graphics performance but better on the processing calculation side. Kirin 9000s is an interesting processor details are kept secret, but I think it is successful.

                    1. Fellow OEMS would probably rush to get TSMC to start making 3nms chip for Android. While Apple sips their apple cider (heh) with their A17 Pro.

                    2. People would be amazed as this is a good example that goes to show, you don't need the US to thrive. Besides, Huawei still makes big money

If you think about it, all numbering systems for SoC are kinda bad. For example, SD685 and 480. You'd think the 685 is miles better at first glance. Turns out both are neck and neck in performance. But this is about Kirin. I don't know the actual naming system that they came up with but they went from 980 to 9000S. I think 9010 is some sort of successor to it. I am confused myself and Google doesn't mention anything either.

I don't study much about Huawei, since their US presence is 6 feet under bedrock (sanctions are gonna be hard to take off.)
