The strap would probably not be included to reduce carbon footprint. Imagine the base set requires you to use it only while lying down on your back.

All I gathered from this is that Apple is working with the feds to scan your face to upload into the matrix so they can come and take our guns.

Big goggles in your face and definitely look silly. Nope, not going to dive myself into this XR/VR things. What I want is something like Ironman workshop or the X-MEN battle simulation room. Not something that poke on your face like an elephant ass 😵💫🤦🏻♂️

Soon you will have to fly to space and make Tim Cook call from space and beg him to sell this technology "masterpeice", otherwise Apple will not sell if you will not going to make meet these demands 😂

Even Xreal stated that 50-60% of their customers only use their AR glasses between one to three hours a day, and their AR glasses only cost about a tenth of the price of the AVP. It's a complete no-brainer, really.

If they sold just $1000 iphones, that means 300 million people are customers of apple.
If an apple user replace old phone with new phone within every 5 year still the company can't serve more than 1.5 billion people within 5 year.
That 300 billion revenue not only come from phone but with all type of product and services.
So, don't worry about dooms day circumstances.

Anonymous , 14 Jan 2024Man do you think apple will really decrease the price 10 fo... moreOriginal iPhone was $500 on a 2 year contract. The cheapest of those was $59.99. https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2007/06/26AT-T-and-Apple-Announce-Simple-Affordable-Service-Plans-for-iPhone/ Now it seems like those contracts were pretty good with seemingly unlimited data, but whether you wanted to use the device‘s mobile capabilities or use it at home, you‘d have to pay $1940 in total, which translates to $2.939 today. Compare that to the cheapest iPhone Apple sells today, the iPhone SE unlocked for $429. It‘s not quite 10 fold and it has been longer than 10 years since the release of the original. But something in the neighborhood of 5x could still happen, adjusted for inflation.

Anonymous, 13 Jan 2024Apple can't single-handedly fix neoliberal society 🤷But they’re a trillion dollar company that makes devices that most people use every day, so even something as simple as making their phones more repairable would have a huge impact

Anonymous, 14 Jan 2024Believe me, I live in Germany. Here, wages are (according t... moreKinda surprising, I earn just under €2200 a month and do groceries in Germany because they are so much cheaper than in my country (Netherlands)
And it's not like I can not live by not doing that, it's just that driving those 10km away for groceries in Germany does save me money, because while €2200 is not a lot here (I have a poor job), it is beyond the minimum wage and I can easily pay everything.
Wow learned something new then, because doing groceries made me think everything but coffee and fizzy drinks is cheap in germany, guess I was wrong.
