Well, this is rather unfortunate. Just when I thought that Samsung would capitalise on Xiaomi's recent overpricing of their phones, they did absolutely nothing to respond.
The only way I see this phone selling at all is if the A34/A54 get pulled off of store shelves entirely, like they did with the A52s when the A53 launched.

Why my instinct about Samsung Galaxy A35 being nerfed in chipset region back then was right due to the Galaxy A34 (MTK-D1080) outshines A54 (E1380) in overall performance. It's giving the same vibes as S21+ being nerfed compared to S20+...

It’s those 5000 mAh batteries ruining ergonomics of every phone. Why not 4000-4500 mAh, but then 160 grams on plastic phones and 180 grams on metal+glass phones? Actually, if not every new phone was oversized to 6.4 inch and larger, but kept below 6 inch, something below 150 grams would be possible with a big enough battery like 4000 mAh, and even lighter when battery size or build materials are sacrificed on specific, but of course not all models. There is no variety in modern phones, all big, fat, heavy.

Sad, Exynos chipsets in A series are not very good. True, that people buying these phones do not game or do heavy tasks on their phones but still, is not good news.
I have a second hand A52s (in my opinion the last good A series phone from Samsung). The display is super nice, it still has headphone jack and micro sd, plus a powerful chipset for that time.
Everything that came after this in A series, was inferior. No wonder people jumping to IOS in recent years. Or to other manufacturers.

The A54 simply has no reason to be what it is. It screams a bothced ODM job at the lowest bidder.

Just compare it to the S22+ that has larger screen yet more compact size (and lighter as well). It's embarassing for Samsung. That ODM they were using for the A54/S23FE gotta go.
