Also while MP are not everything they are half the battle. Just the same as a fast processor is just as important as well optimized system to use it.
And that's why HTC released an update that made a decent improvement to the One. And in theory the One was supposed to be better in low light, but it's not quite there yet. it's good for what it is and being it's the first Ultra Pixel in a phone.
In the future expect a far superior one from one of or all of Samsung, Sony, Nokia.

Its nice if HTC One can produce a 16/32Mb Mini version with 4.0/4.3" screen size with stock Android 4.2.2 Dual Core Krait Clocked at 1.7/1.9Ghz with 1/1.5/2G of RAM.

It is still more expensive than my Nexus 4. If it is 450, I might pick one up considering that Nexus 4 16GB is about 350 only.

following samsung (galaxy s4), I see.....well yeah, "nexus" doesn't belong to samsung, but still....I thought HTC has some confidence in them, oh well, lets just see whether this move will raise their market share or not, and btw, I'm not a samsung fan

I don't know why but I will always think the S4 is the superior device. I don't care about the build quality because I'll just buy a case or just get an awesome battery cover, which you can't do on the HTC One. And if the aluminum chips or scratches, you're doomed because you can't really fix it. In terms of everything else, the S4 is way better and is totally worth the $50 more than the HTC One on the Play Store.

Why does an unlocked google edition phone have to be available initially in US only ? Bizarre that 2 asian companies HTC and Samsung cannot make it available in Asian markets .

More MP doesn't always mean better photos, and the image processing algorithms will be the same, it will just be the camera interface that changes.

Why bother with all the versions either stock android or HTC sense or Touch Wiz. If it's plain android, all phones are the same. Only this one might be a bit faster than another one. And it seems like you guys cannot decide whether you need a 4" phone or 4.99" or 5.62" or maybe a 6.25".... Just get an iPhone will ya

Not just cheap phones.
Getting sick of cheap phones that cripple the experience, like low internal memory or low quality build.
Its like google is a brand for poor men, which shouldn't be the case.
