This is interesting!!
I've been really enjoying the Exynos 2400 in the S24+ which I've been using for over 2 months now. I honestly don't understand why so many people are complaining. I guess its because they really have no clue how good it is.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2024going by your uninformed views, SD would not have lived to ... morestill remember the HTC 10 Evo that yeah, made it known that it was using V2 of the SD810 because people were running away from it.
But yeah, doesn't fit their narrative.
Also, sd801 is considered a god-level chipset, but even that one was a complete space heater

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2024going by your uninformed views, SD would not have lived to ... moreIn 2025 and 2027, there are reports that Samsung will use a custom AMD Zen series CPU design. (Exynos 2500 probably uses AMD RDNA 4 GPU, not yet released, impossible to use AMD RDNA 3 GPU) (don't know if the Snapdragon x elite is successful using its own full custom CPU, SD 820 and 821 failed) If you successfully use SD 8 Gen 4, Arm Cortex X5 claims to be above Apple's SoC. (Exynos 2500 used fab 3nm, 3nm first test Exynos W940 with Exynos modem 5G 5400. If the results are satisfactory then use Exynos 2400/ trial July 2024 fab 3nm)

There was a time where Snapdragon had to issue 3 or more versions of the same chipset that year because it was so bad. So bad, that later phones had to advertise that they were not using the EARLIER SD 810 chips.
Qualcomm should have closed down? LOL

Batteri Voltas, 25 Jan 202428nm TSMC and 14nm Samsung is what we had at the time. ... moreWhy are we arguing about SD410? A SoC with only efficiency cores will definitely have good battery life. But the issue is it won't even be able to run modern Android let alone become a competitor.

Samsung would probably LOVE to manufacture Snapdragon chips because it means they can ensure those perform like Exynos or even worse.
It would be cool to see the difference in performance to Exynos when Qualcomm was using Samsung manufacture. Was the performance and efficiency gap larger or smaller?

you have to suffer, 25 Jan 2024it's not that power efficient until you see 28nm 😨😨 oo... more28nm TSMC and 14nm Samsung is what we had at the time.
And in that context, SD615, 808 and 810 were trainwrecks compared to the 410. Might as well use one of the former if the intention was to slander the e2400.
Fun fact is that 2015 was that one year where people who bought an Exynos powered got really lucky (and where Samsung literally trashed any possibility of offering a snapdragon flagship anywhere)
I have a HTC Desire 510 sitting in my drawer and the battery actually surprised as I was ready for the worst considering the 28nm curse

Vegetaholic, 24 Jan 2024There is no such thing as normal people, there is informed ... moreNot everyone who buys Samsung is "uninformed"
I have one because I just prefer their software, it's easier for me to source genuine original parts in case it breaks, and here in the EU it ain't all that much more expensive. And I'm coming from two Xiaomi devices and a Huawei which I dearly miss.
On the other hand, a lot of people who buy a Xiaomi end up flashing a custom ROM within a year. There are probably more Xiaomi "pixels" in the world than actual Google Pixels
