They took the wrong decisions, and still cripple their own licensees. Now they are basically a bunch of beggars from patents alone.

Nokia's Androids are far stable than their Windows and counter-intuitive Symbian phones, so there's that

Really don't Motorola. They've been promising an android 13 upgrade for the Motorola edge 20 lite for the last 20 months. Guess what, no upgrade.

While the real NOKIA receives money from HMD to be able to use its name, everything is ok for them!! But meanwhile, they are sinking the legacy of the old Nokia mobile!

Nokia G10 and G20 were launched at the same time with Android 11 pre-installed. I have Nokia G20 which got both, Android 12 and 13 OS updates and is getting monthly security updates on time. Currently, the phone has Android 13 OS and December 2023 security patch. As it has already received two OS updates, it won't get Android 14 OS update.

I don't know all this urge about getting updates as quickly as possible. I rather take slow yet steady updates over fast but inconsistent experience.

Was an owner of a G10 nokia by HMD. I can also say along with the article that updates are slower than a tortoise. I think I got two security updates total over a year and some months. So when they advertise "3years of security updates" just be aware that doesn't necessarily mean monthly, fyi. To answer the first comment, the device was pretty much stock android. Like a pixel, bland, simple or boring, take your pick. Only had 1 HMD app for like device health and survey. Fair to say it is stock. Remember you get what you pay for.

This €250 phone gets Android 14 with a larger size than the €800 Zenfone 10 which is only 1.3GB.

hope it wouldn't wipe the entire phone
