Weekly poll: will you buy an Honor Magic V2 now that it has arrived in Europe?

28 January 2024
More than any other horizontal foldable, the Magic V2 feels like an ordinary bar phone when closed. However, it is a 2023 phone launching in 2024.

Excatly what I thought. Absolutely nothing. How about you make a impact on the world like Mrbeast or Jerryrigeveryhting before asking people to donate to charity. Sick of people like you.

If the OnePlus Open/the Oppo Find N3 hadn't been out, I would've said the Honor Magic V2 was the best foldable and was worth every penny. Now that those two are out, having far better cameras than anything else while costing less than anything else, there is no point in getting the Honor Magic V2. The OnePlus/Oppo foldable even has the stylus support on both screens, just like the Honor foldable, so even that isn't a point of consideration. Honor just timed the global release incredibly badly.

Years passed and the main screen is still the major issue and first thing which gets brokjen on foldable devices.

These make sense for business users. Replaced tablets and iPhones at our place. Target market is never going to be your regular consumer. SIM only deals at under a tenner a month offset the monthly outlay but it is crazy compared to the phones of the past. My kids use honor devices for 200 and for basic use these are more than enough.

Anonymous, 28 Jan 2024that price is ridiculous, for any phone. Not really, used as a business device I think this makes perfect sense.

that price is ridiculous, for any phone.

I will buy a "new" car instead. Come on guys, who are these phones for? Is there a real value in these things? Is there anything major a I can't do with any decent midranger compared to this one? The world is getting ridiculous. More and more super expensive products for the 0.01% of the population. Instead of this companies should focus on important things and do something that helps all people around the world. And people here at the gsmarena act like it's a normal thing to buy a $2000 phone. People all over the world are dying because of wars, no food, no clean water and instead of praising these super expensive phones there should be a massive critical discussion about how we don't need these phones and it's better to safe the resources on something that makes more sense. Give me a break.

"I am not considering an Honor" should be an option

I could comment that every week, but these polls are a joke. How does every new phone, and not just the Samsungs or iPhones, already have like 20% of people buying it every week? Obviously that's not representative for the actually sales, they should rather make the polls like "If you had X money to spend, what Phone would you buy?".

I have no problem with the price.
When and if i were looking for a foldables phones this thing or the Porsche design would be exactly one i want.
But since begginign of foldables the biggest cons is the main screen.
5-7 years in foldable bussiness passed and the inner screen have still durability of a soap stone or chalc.
So its a no for me.

When they will release foldable phones with quality, design and durability equal to MetaVertu II will change my mind. Untill then i am not interested at all.

No, I already have the Oneplus Open and I love it so much.

I have no problem with the price, but in that case it has to be all high end hardware.
