Waow...my old Y9 (2019) already had the 710 chip. It is still working great, but someone should tell Huawei that we are in 2024...

A phone released as "brand new" in 2024 with a 4 year old 14nm (!!) chipset, that's actually just a worse version of a 6 year old chipset, 720p display, low-end cameras and just all-around terrible specs, except for the battery size. For people that really want a Huawei phone, they can get a second hand, good condition P30 Pro for probably less than the price of this, and for people in the need of outstanding battery life, there are plenty of rugged phones with better displays, better cameras and even better battery life, all of these with Google Mobile Services support.

Releasing a phone in 2024 with a 6 year old chipset is deeply deeply embarrassing and shameful.

I think the original 710 was released in 2018, and the 710a soc was released in 2019/2020. Either way, why could they have not used a more recent chipset from mediatek?
