I do not trust Huawei with my personal data. I'd rather have an American company harvesting my data instead of the CCP. It's a shame because if it wasn't for that, I'd have my hands all over this phone.

I understand that Honor took some time bringing this phone but it's too little too late. A phone costing 2000 euros shouldn't have last year's chip. Besides, GSM's specs indicate a downclocked chip so not only is it an older chip but it's the slowest one as well. They're not making thousands of this phone, they could've just stopped and swapped the chips, it'd have been costly but the phone's costly as well. This phone doesn't make sense to me apart from being a collector's phone. This phone looks great, must feel great and seems to have cool cameras but does the software make it worth it all? I believe Honor is facing the Xiaomi foldable dilemma, yes you get astounding hardware, but is the software able to leverage it? It's like an android tablet, big but not as useful as Apple's iPads which come with their laptop grade M chips. Oppo was innovating the foldable market along with Vivo and Oppo's global launch of their fabulous Find N3/Oneplus Open made everyone properly notice it. Oppo's foldable isn't so much worse than Honor's to make anyone go "wow I NEED that", but Honor's foldable looks so much better and seems so much cooler due to the weight you go "I want that". Honor's phones aren't too shabby but they just get overshadowed by BBK and even Xiaomi phones imo, this was their "wow that's different" phone of last year and it came in too late. If it were released before the Oneplus Open it'd have had a chance at claiming some share of the market but not anymore.

FatShady, 26 Jan 2024ewaste? this is far better than your darling's sammy foldFar better is not enough. Its like comparing a toy phone from a toy store with ultra premium real phone.

PorkHotdog, 26 Jan 2024Lmfaooo these chinese brands are feeling themselves way too... moreE-waste yes fold.
If i put both phones to comparison samsung is worse in everything.
Cameras, batterym endurance, charging speeds, list of accesories inside the box.
Would you be so kind and please educate us what Samsung Fold have better over a Honor brand while this phone comes with unlimited free screen replacement while in case of Samsung any screen repair is 700+ eur

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2024Even if it survives 1 billion folds, it all doesn't ma... moreThats why you have from honor free screen replacement.
Compared to other brands where new screen cost as high as 500-900 eur brand dependable.

karim salah, 26 Jan 2024What is that price hahahaha The thin foldable is already up for sale in Purple and Black and costs £1,699/€1,999 for a 16/512 GB variant. European customers also get the Magic Care+ service for screen replacements for free.

Samsung for example dont gives free replacement of screen each repair is 700 so the price is not that bad considering the fact foldables screen durability is close to zero and you cant use screen protector.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2024Same for OnePlus 12, everyone hyping it to be the S24 Ultra... moreStill 1100 eur for much better specs camera etc 16GB RAM and 1TB disk space plus 100 worth in accesories in box compared to samsung where lowest specced 12GB RAM and 256GB storage with zero accesories in box is 1500+.
By the way genuine Samsung accesories like screen protector, book case and charger is like another 150 plus another 150-200 for earplugs.
In case of Oneplus you get all that within the box of the phone and earplugs are like 99 or so. In some discounts or early birds deals bbecause Oneplus 12 is new device and will come to sale within 2 weeks global version you might get them free,

DarlingYext, 26 Jan 2024I feel like that might be too much, OnePlus Open is better ... moreWell yes and no.
One one hand is very expensive on the other is worth the price because compared to Oneplus or Samsugn or some other folds they dont have a free screen replacement.

Lmfaooo these chinese brands are feeling themselves way too much. Imagine buying this e-waste over Galaxy Fold LOL. Even oneplus open is a better buy

DarlingYext, 26 Jan 2024I feel like that might be too much, OnePlus Open is better ... moreYeah. This arrived too late for international markets even though it had quite the headstart in China.

LucaKirani, 26 Jan 2024In the UK you can get it for around £1400 if you're a ... moreIn the UK you can get £1299 non student or £1199 if you student.

Question is I got vivo x fold 2 great phone but non global version, just thing if this can replace is

The Magic V2 is SGS-certified to survive 400,000 folds, which should last for a decade of everyday use(yeah right, the only way to make it last is don't fold it)😱

Even if it survives 1 billion folds, it all doesn't matter because it is not the hinge that is fragile in all foldable phone, the screen is.

In the UK you can get it for around £1400 if you're a student or a previous honor customer using your serial number to claim money off

Same for OnePlus 12, everyone hyping it to be the S24 Ultra killer at half the price at $799, but it's 949-1,049 euro ($1,030 - $1,139) on their website. This difference is crazy

So about 77% more expensive (870 euro) compared to China?

                                        Not for me.

It isn't about money, it's just for fairness and civility with customers.
