Good move, next up is to optimise their software. We, buyers, need other option than Xiaomi so we could all get a better value for our bucks and force Xiaomi to compete.

AnonD-641645, 30 Jan 2024My first smartphone was a 1.2 GHz dual core, Kit Kat, 4&quo... moreIam typing on Lenovo k5 vibe plus, which was release 5 yrs back, has dolby atmos dual stereo speakers. Sound is noticably better on jacked earplugs than speakers. Nothing to rave about.

Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res frequency- More Bass/Low Ends More much Balance output out there superbalance not much highs but continuous pulse modulations on high frequency : Speaker 👍 also add something to the bass in the low end to avoid clipping in the high mids like the ROG speaker 💞 👍 more unto default balance and less highs to avoid clipping. Distortion and ear piercing ( hearing damage )

My first smartphone was a 1.2 GHz dual core, Kit Kat, 4" with a whopping 512 MB RAM. It boasted 'Dolby Digital Plus', its twin variant had 'DTS Sound'. Dolby Atmos is just a gimmick, equalization presets + volume normalization (the latter is actually problematic). 'Tuned by Harman Kardon' may be equally gimmicky, but at least implies quality hardware, not mere software.

These companies should stop this stupid trend of putting Dolby Atmos things on phone 🤦🏻♂️
Do the phone even have the processing power to do that? How about the speakers?? I'm not talking about one or two speakers on the phone. Dolby Atmos required multiple speakers (in front, left and right, behind and above your head) 🤦🏻♂️ what Dolby Atmos can you get when using your phone speaker?? Not even stereo sound just plain mono sound. Headphones?? You still can get stereo sound, but 360 degree of sounds?? 🤦🏻♂️ Spatial audio? Your headphones will be freaking expensive like Apple Airpod and so on. You need special chip inside the headphones for that. Even my phone (Realme 7 Pro) have Dolby Atmos on it and the sound are horrible. I turned it off. Jeez 🙄

Tecno is, again, stepping up its game and that's amazing, but they need to improve A LOT their presence in some countries.
For example, they have partners in some South American countries, but nothing in Brazil, where they could easily sell Phantom X2, X2 Pro, V Fold and V Flip for way less money than Motorola and Samsung asks for its foldables.

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2024Eww no. Screw Oled PWM. If I remember correctly, iPhones are able to use LCD panels because OLED was too expensive (it's kinda cheap if i remember as well). Personally, OLED should be the standard, and 90hz is alright. HDR10+ or P3 and then some for some streaming stuff

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2024Eww no. Screw Oled PWM. LCD also has PWM (backlight) though. OLEDs are superior, and there are practically risk-free 3840hz flicker rate displays.

Maybe I never used it properly, but my old Motorola Edge 30 Pro had Dolby Atmos support, and I never noticed any major sound improvement over my Oneplus 10T.
