We all know Samsung display always have issue even up to now. They make the best display at the same time they are the worse thats why some smartphone manufacturer is choosing other display maker because of green line, gray is not perfect and colors do oversaturate or desaturate. I think this is normal Samsung Quality even Samsung TV always have issue

What about the screen noise/grain and color banding issues that are flooding Reddit threads? Mine is also having the same issues, especially at lower brightness levels and when used in a dark environment. The screen is so grainy that it looks like a cheap LCD. This more evident on gray backgrounds.

                THERE IS NO FIX.

Samsung hasn't acknowledged anything at all.
This is a customer service representative who has been given a script to read to everyone experiencing these issues.
There is no firmware/software update coming to address the display issue.
There is no news anywhere stating that Samsung (officials) have acknowledged this.
Don't get your hopes up high people. Wakeup.
Samsung is going down the natural display look and deviating from the contrast saturated look they have been infamous for.
Even the brightness is far less than the s23 ultra in normal viewing conditions.

It's not being fixed. It looks terrible, esp. with non HDR content, like the UI. If you like it as is, fine, but at least bring back the Vivid profile for those who prefer that. It's like only having Vivid and taking away the Natural profile. Why can't we have both, esp. on a high end AMOLED screen like the S24U has.

Ask 100 customer services reps the same question, 30% will say a fix is coming soon. 30% will say it's designed as-is for your comfort. 30% will say return it. The rest is a mix of any of the above. Email the CEO and ask them to fix it!

They're failing to officially acknowledge the grainy/noisy screens, the washed out colors on vivid mode, the diagonal line pattern on the screen in a dark environment.

I've had one rep tell me the diagonal line issue is a defective unit, two reps tell me it's a software issue and will be fixed, one tell me I should return it or get the screen replaced, and the latest rep tell me his device is also like that and "that is the default" and the screen should be like that. What is Samsung doing? smh.

And I have tried reading news in direct sunlight and it's impossible to not notice how much brighter and easily readable it is outside. Granted, I have no S23 to compare but compared to reading on ZF4 in the same light, the difference is in huge favor of S24U.

Hello All. I confirm this display color issue too: I got an S24 Ultra directly from Samsung and the display colors are "a bit gray", if I compare it with my S21 Ultra.

Executive support in the office of the president told me yesterday they are not currently planning on fixing it. The low level reps have no idea what they are talking about. I've heard everything from "it's being worked on" to "we didn't know" to "we don't care" from them.

Color saturation on galaxy amoled phones was one from top reasons why people move to Samsung from phones like HTC, IPhone, LG, Sony long time ago. That was something that separate Samsung from others and something what customers loved. For those who like less saturated colors Samsung gives choice to switch saturation down. And we loved This phone for giving as that option. This time first time from many years something goes wrong, everyone who got used to Samsung display quality and bought s24ultra directly noticed less vibrant screen which looks like downgrade to s23 phone. And if you go to settings you can find option to change that but it not working like before, but much much less, so automatically we take it as a error which should be fixed. Nobody wants to have less when looking for more.
We just like to have at lest what we used to .
But there is another problem and that is brightens, for me this is bigger issue.
We know that s24ultra phone have 900 nits brighter screen that older brother and we should enjoy much more light from our new devices yes? Thing is in reality we got much less light than was in 900 nits weaker s23ultra. I have both phones and when they set to max brightness or on adaptive brightens I can see huge difference in light. S23ultra has 1700 nits and s24ultra 2600 nits but new phone is much darker. For me this is about 30% les light. So how is possible that 2600 nits looks like 1300 nits? maybe if I not have my s23ultra on the table against new s24ultra I will never notice color and brightens differences but I have and I pay big money to upgrade my device in screen area to.

HyperionBurn, 01 Feb 2024i mean even apple had battery issues/crash detection issues... moreIt should not be hard to detect an obvious flaw with a display. All you have to do is look at the phone when you power it on.

This is only a canned response from a low level Samsung agent. There are just as many screenshots of Samsung agents saying the opposite that this is intentional and not a bug. Until Samsung releases an official statement a fix is not guaranteed.
