The people voting high management, board members or ceo's of companies admiring to have a trillion dollar company and are most likely to own and use Apple phones, computers and watches.
It's like shooting fish in a barrel and all the fish are the same species, Apple .

Yes, I feel the award is more than justified! Here are my reasons:-
Social responsibility? Yup, they're very much responsible for social problems including worker exploitation in China, meme/smartphone addiction, overspending in middle class families, etc. Of course, they're responsible, no one can debate.
Financial soundness? Obviously, when you price stuff like Apple does, can finance ever be a problem? Maybe for owners, never for Apple. Not to mention, Apple's digital services.
Innovation? 100%. USB-C port, fast charging, etc were all Tim Cook's noble ideas, dare anyone mention Android, I'll block you.
Global competitiveness? Yup, with a mobile phone in each segment from $80 to $800, you can say they're competitive in every segment that exists, including low end segment. My friend recently got a rare iPhone 6, in $80, imagine the exclusivity that came with it.
Yes, the said phone can be said to be "new".. when it was first purchased years ago.

They’ve made it so onerous, and I think so at odds with the intent of what the EU regulation was, that I think it’s just going to be very difficult for anyone, including ourselves, to really seriously entertain what they’re doing there.

Admired, and also most hated:
- overcharging
- removing features
- Dark UX patterns
- closed garden, preventing competition
- proprietary interfaces, connectors and obfuscated systems
- slowing down old phones on purpose in order to force people to upgrade
- Only coming to USB-C, alternative browser and store selection when forced by high fines by EU
= Total rip off company.

Financial soundness. The reason why retailers hate credit card is these cards charge a few. Apple is not a bank or Credit Card company, the fees charged to retailers is now shared, collection remains the same except now shared with Apple.
Competiveness

You see Comply all the other gatekeepers see DEFY.
Still pending is the SpO2 "patent theft" which even if resolved in the USA means no royalties are paid for watches sold outside the USA.
Apple doesn't feature in my day to day activities, it's just on this website I read stories and investigate.
I don't find Apple or what they do admirable just memorable. It seems the first and foremost goal is to generate even more income, the consequences are the 3

iPhones is what's carrying apple as it's a locked down ecosystem & no other manufacturer can install iOS/MacOS on other device unlike Windows(PC) or Android(Phones). Nor no other OS's can be installed on Apple's locked down phones/pc's either.

Their analysis finds that most light user can still get by with those extremely limited specs due to the integration between software and hardware, so they do it. Some customers complain, sure. But, most are content and can't really easily leave Apple.
The result? The most profitable company on earth.
It's brilliant really. I will never buy their products, but I like studying their and see how I can apply it at my own future business.
