AI would give Siri the boost it deserves. It's pretty good already for direct commands but asking it for information often takes multiple tries.

But in fact, neither Samsung nor Google invented it. It has been around as a theoretical concept for decades and has been implement many times before even in for example games with AI from 20 years ago with computer players. And another problem is that the question whether something is AI or not is not clear cut (which is why marketing loves to put AI onto everything). That’s why the statement that Apple would copy Samsung with this is so ridiculous. Also, OpenAI didn’t invent AI but made a big advancement in terms of practical implementation. Their product can be seen as a market disruptor even though they were not the first to use AI or the inventors of it. Just like the first iPhone was not the first smartphone or first touch device but their implementation shaped the entire product category. Though I think they were the first to implement multi-touch but I‘m not sure about that.

Most people I know would happily pay 20 bucks a month for GPT-4, instead of even 5 for Google's shitty model. Some open source models are even better than Google's.
