either samsung reuse the same battery as xcover pro and xcover 6.

v notch makes the phone look like a budget phone. it's just unfortunate a device like this with full fledged features yet ruined by cheap cutout. i guess the screen design in xcover 5 and xcover pro is much more appealing compared to this.

And for as long as your phone keeps working all your apps gets updated so the support for software is more than fine.
Android 12 or 13 or 14 who cares the difference is so low its not even worth to talk about.

Anonymous, 06 Feb 2024So many red flags: • Why no mention of the DeX feature? ... moreNo battery mode is on Samsung website and gsmarena alreay mentioned it many times in the past.

There is no DEX over there so you probably just "heard a rumor".

And this has been known to run Mediatek since last year, just not the specific chip name.

                      So many red flags:

                      • Why no mention of the DeX feature? Was it scrapped? Because I remember hearing this phone would have it.

                      • No mention of turning it on with just the charger (without a battery), that was also advertised before, and not including the charger will make it a pain for users who want to use the phone that way (permanent computer place with DeX + not worring about battery percentage) and won't know which voltage their charger needs to be in that specific scenario.

                      • All that secrecy with the chipset only to end up being a Mediatek, that dreaded name alone is a whole pandora box in of itself because of the plethora of issues it has, which requires its own list:
                      - No custom drivers support because they don't provide full kernel sources.
                      - Unable to use Enhanced HDR in Google Camera.
                      - Little to no custom support, short route towards e-waste.
                      - Worse sustained performance test than Snapdragons, meaning it throttles quicker.

This phone really had potential, but I guess we'll have to wait for either a pro version or the XCover8 in the future...

                        Very overpriced.
For same price something like Unihertz tank 3 or Oukitel WP 33 Pro or WP 30 pro are a lot better deals.

That price difference between standard and enterprise edition is quite hilarious 1

                            80mm

                            Wide boy much

Ulefone Armor 23 Ultra is better hardware-wise but based on looks, XCover does a better job at the whole "rugged" thing.

That's good that Xcover phones are finally available in India BUT from what I know, these aren't available for the general audience, rather only to institutions and businesses
