It also got major software updates every year and nothing was broken on it. It's just such a shame it can only be paired to iPhone, because I'd totally still use it with my S23 Ultra if it was possible. Samsung totally let me down so hard it's unlikely I'll ever buy another watch from them. And I'm also questioning their phones for a while and how much new 7 years of updates even makes sense when you a) can't contact them at all to resolve software issues b) they never seem to fix anything. What's the point of 7 years of software updates then? I've never second guessed Apple in all the years I owned my iPhone and Apple Watch in this regard. It just always worked and I was always super excited for major releases. And if there were problems, you could actually contact Apple and they actually fixed bugs. So, I really can't and don't fault people for almost religiously wanting Apple products because of this (not the brand fanboys). Entire Android industry has been disappointing me for years and years. I've only had 1 iPhone and 1 Apple Watch and I can't say anything bad about it, even despite traditional Apple's dumbfoolery with artificial restrictions. At least the stuff they had worked great and that's very important.

Maybe Fit3 will have less issues since it's probably running Tizen and not WearOS, but the fact Samsung still stands behind it, when there will be issues, you won't have anyone to contact about it. I just can't wrap my head around it how company as huge as Samsung has their support so horrifyingly bad.

    The only bug that I have on my GW3 is that the hour chime is a standard 'beep' instead of the actual chime, even if I select another sound.
    It works for an hour or 2 and then relapse to the default 'beep'.

    Samsung never fixed that and never acknowledge. And why whould they ? For them, a smartwatch has a shell life of a year or so, since they release a new version each year with so few updates ...

        Also, the Fit3 does show the caller ID but not possible to use it for calls.
        And no GPS inside, sadly.

        Considering the price, it's not worth it ... We'll see in a few month when the price drop to 50-60 EUR :)

              Smartbands are meant to used alongside with smartphone but there might be few outliers so don't quote me on that.

                      For about the same price, the Redmi Watch 3 seems like a better buy.

                          UltraHD, 06 Feb 2024I just ordered my Xiaomi smart band 8 and now this comes out... 😐I have Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro and it's actually really good. My only gripe with it are preinstalled watch faces that waste space and can't be removed and how badly AOD is done. No control over what kind of AOD mode you want, it just uses some whatever AOD watch face with no rule. Some watch faces use generic digital or analog AOD watch face and some, for whatever reason use AOD negative of the active watch face. It's like 3 out of 50 watch faces that have such decent AOD watch face, but that's it. Outside of this, the rest is actually really good and for some reason way better than my stupid Galaxy Watch 4 which is a paperweight now that Samsung f**ked up caller ID on it and is incapable of fixing it for 4 god damn months and counting. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG. Their support is garbage. Then again so is Xiaomi's, but they at least don't seem to break such essential things...

                            UltraHD, 06 Feb 2024I just ordered my Xiaomi smart band 8 and now this comes out... 😐My Mi Band 6 still works fine. So no problem at all. In fact I bought a real smartwatch and saw this news. Bought Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Very heavy watch with great build quality and cool screen. Only downside is much shorter battery life compared with Mi Band 6. So wait for your Mi Band 8 as it may be better.

                                Gee, I bet it doesn't show caller ID either just like Galaxy Watch 4. And you'll never see it fixed because Samsung's support is non existent.
