SuperSpruce, 08 Feb 2024This was one of the worst tech news I've read in years... moreJust cancel services who do this and watch all of the content from those alternative streaming sites with adblocker and for free.

    I just say this:

    Go greed, go broke!

Anonymous, 08 Feb 2024https://www.gsmarena.com/netflix_adds_almost_6_million_subs... moreThis was one of the worst tech news I've read in years when it came out, because I know this means every other subscription service ever is gonna copy Netflix with that decision.

I posted a very angry (not at the article, but at the situation) comment on that article, but it got flagged by the auto moderator system.

Cancelled and uninstalled all 3 (disney, prime, netflix) 2 days ago after i experienced a problem sending the link netflix provided that would allow me to temporarily watch from our other house some 200m away for 14days.
I still have 2month on my disney+ though. But after 2 days, i relaized i dont need them anyway.

This is why we should've all cancelled Netflix after they started trying to stop password sharing.

I call everyone that has Disney+ to cancel it now. Stop letting corporations get away with new greedy decisions.

Streaming services are so awesome I resorted back to open seas. Excellent job greedy corporations. Streaming could be so awesome and convenient, yet it became a) too expensive b) idiotic with all the exclusives locked to a single service. Do they really expect us to be subscribed to 6+ streaming services at once? They think we'll just gobble up Cable 2.0 again lol? They can shove it.

Akarius, 07 Feb 2024And yet you do neither. There was a subscription I had, I never used it tho, since it was amazon with all its language, limitations, they got no idea what consumer wants.

That is the life the streaming business (whelp) 👀

LOL, I'll keep enjoying my shows for free on my notchless phone and 85" smart TV. Doubt supporters of these *colored* platforms will ever feel the urge to leave them.

Netflix be like: I'm proud of you, my son

Always blame the customers, password shareing, & piracy for management's incompitent decitions and / or poor shows (bad / poor story telling, butchering existing show IP, etc) that they produce.

                      *sigh*

                      It's not just disney though.

Akarius, 07 Feb 2024And watching free YT video with ads still brings Google and... moreAnd you forgot to mention how Youtube shoves ads on unmonetized channels and never share the earnings with the video owner.

And have you seen those 30-min ads? Some even go as long as 3 hours lmao.

Anonymous, 07 Feb 2024Pirate means use/reproduce the work of another without auth... moreAnd watching free YT video with ads still brings Google and the creator ad revenue, as opposed to illegal sites that only bring money to the pocket of those reproducing content without license or rights to it.
And then the same people moan "99.9999999% of shows aren't even worth watching or pirating" and they're not even smart enough to see connection here.

Hamad1993, 07 Feb 2024We torrent anyway 😂😂😂99.99999999999% of movies and shows aren't even worth doing that either.

I have cancelled Netflix even though i was paying it for over 10 years.

Constant price hikes, content library gets worse and worse and now this.

Now i cancel Disney plus but i can watch those same movies and tv series from Netflix and Disney plus from alternative streaming sites without ads and free.

pl2rts, 07 Feb 2024To be honest i dont consider my self as a pirate when i go ... morePirate means use/reproduce the work of another without authorization or legal right. Watching free content on YouTube is definitely not pirating.
