Google rebrands Bard to Gemini, launches a paid version based on a more powerful AI model

Gemini is now also an app and on Android it will supplant the Google Assistant. Gemini is available for iOS and through a web interface too.

I keep Google Assistant disabled on my and my family's phones. Likewise, I do not have Chrome or Gmail. Hope I remain unaffected by this development.

                            So, you need to pay for robot to help you?? NOPE, NOPE, I'm not a lazy ass that I can't even do a simple tasks 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

                              Gemini was good movie with Will Smith back in 2019.
                              But bard sounds a lot better to me.
                              Anyway hope they dont make that AI thing permament onable to turn off.
                              Last thing i want from the phone is some stupid assistant telling me what i can and what i cannot.

                                I don't know how, but Google did something good

                                  Bard always reminded me of a dwarf bartender in a cottage on top of the mountain waiting there to help you out with your quests. Gemini sounds so sterile and like a secret military project codename which is what this probably really is...

                                    Nooooo, Bard was a good name, and Gemini really isn't that good of a name.
