        I think the business model of Google One is correct, but when compared to Apple One, I don't see it as comprehensive

          Great job google! now its time to shut it down and create another service that does the exact same thing.

            Pixel phones has certain access to G1, only extra features requires subscription. For example, Google photos app on S24 Ultra requires subscription to G1 to use tools, like magic eraser etc. Samsung native generative AI features like magic eraser truly stone age stuff compared to Pixel.

                Since Samsung is using Google Gemini it's Google you'll be paying just billed by Samsung for the ui integration n their apps. But it's GOOGLE that the real bill in 2yrs for AI S24 series bill comes from.

                  While Google Gemini Advanced IS nice, and you Xan use it for 2 months free, I'm NOT going to have all my eggs inside the google basket.

                  I've learned mylesson doing that worh Apple for 10yrs+ ans it was beyond difficult leaving.

                  Google has a VERY unfair monopoly :
                  Being both the platform creator SDK
                  The software and services provider,
                  And also the hardware competitor to all their clients!

                  This isnt right.

                      I have some files on external hard drive and some files on a usb stick as i have few of them with 16GB or 64GB and well i have 1 8GB sd card and one 256GB sd card that is in my 6-in-1 stick that has usb-a, micro usb, type-c and 2 card slots and also 1 usb-a for usb sticks

                      I dont have sd card slot in my phone

                      Yeah it takes time if you have a lot of files to move from phone but still worth it to have it on some external drive at home.

                        Using USB OTG is helpful on this process but yeah an headache too.
                        But far better than storing files on cloud and sd card.

                        I personally keep most important files on my phone, sd card and extra ssd, thus 3 backup location.
                        I do have desktop pc in my home.
                        If anyone don't have that then use USB OTG on phone with HDD or SSD.
                        I don't use cloud storage for these files.

                        The files i need while commuting, i try to keep them on mobile and cloud storage, as it is safe to keep them in 2 location.

                          Unknown soldiers , 11 Feb 2024my mind is speachless thoughless that people pay evry month... moreAll these low end phones with SD cards are totally useless. Not good enough camera to make sense to have the card slot over there standard 128/256GB storage.
                          Also not enough performance to use emulators and then have 1000 games on the SD card.

                          Also for this cloud storage is not making any sense for me as i dont want to have my stuff in some server who knows where in the world these are and i can have access only when i have internet and can lose all of my stuff when the subscription time is over or in some time after that. I prefer to have my files on usb stick or external hard drive

                          Also i think for people who use emulators then something like Poco X6 Pro with 512GB should be enough space. I just dont understand why do anyone need to have like 100 games on there phone when they maybe play 2-3 games out of it only and then have like 90 plus games just to waste storage. Even 256GB should be enough to have like 10 games installed on the phone and still have over 100GB free space.

                          But well there still are options like Sony phones that have microSD slots so people need to compromise on something to have something if the card slot is the most important thing you cant live without

                            oh no.... now i get why big google smartphones users stop putting sd cards in their plagships its a deal between them...it makes no sense to sell you a 1000 euros phone in 2024 with 128 g of storage...meanwhile xiaomi has 100 euros phones with 512 g plus sd card slot ...we should boycott them all no one buys phones for a entire year belive me after 3 months we would pay 300 euros for our phones with 1..2..terabytes of storage

                                      Kind of weird example to say

                                        wtf. they have not changed pricing or storage since they introduced google drive. The cost of Google ONe of 2TB/year could buy a 2TB HDD or 2TB SSD every year.
