Anonymous, 13 Feb 2024The S24+ is not any bigger than the Xiaomi 14. It's on... moreThat's pure BS.

Xiaomi 13 is the size of Xiaomi 14 and size difference comparing to S24+ is massive.

There is a lot of misinformation on the internet that the Xiaomi 14 Pro will not be released globally. I've spoken to Xiaomi and they told me, "the Pro version will be released globally, and to look out for the official announcement".
I checked for an official announcement, and the Xiaomi 14 Pro will be released on the 28th February 2024 in Ireland and UK. Please see the official link below for confirmation.

Apple has been doing long software support for a long time, yet you can see a lot of people keep changing phone every year.

Tpetya, 12 Feb 2024Not everybody wants a huge phoneThe S24+ is not any bigger than the Xiaomi 14. It's only noticeable when you compare it against the S24 Ultra.

Anonymous, 13 Feb 2024Software Lives Matter, lol. Also, people are holding onto t... moreNever said software updates don't matter, but most people just don't hold on to their phones for more than 4 years. And it sure doesn't justify such high prices.
A 6 or 7 year update cycle is mostly for people who care and that is the well informed minority who are keen to know as much as possible about the devices they use.
If they would hang on to their phones for that long every new generation of Galaxy S phones or iPhones wouldn't sell the numbers they do every year.
I'm happy with 4 years OS updates, i usually don't intend to upgrade if my phones doesn't get noticably slower or battery life becomes an issue. And within 4 years such issues are not unlikely.

BMHater12, 12 Feb 2024You can just disable the annoying ads through the settingsYeah, but the tracking and data mining you cannot turn off, but only if you change the OS, so whats the point of paing 1100 euros for a disposible? People need to be out of their mind to do that. Well, not that samsung is better when we talk OS....

Also, people are holding onto their phones longer, and that’s before Android phones from the likes of Samsung and Google and, to a lesser extent, OnePlus, finally caught up to Apple’s renowned software and security update policy.

Keep in mind that the phones' price might be different in other parts of Europe, for example the 13T pro was launched at 800€ but in Greece it cost 900€. However it's still a price jump for the 14 as the 13 launched for 1000€ in Greece, albeit with 256GB of storage and 8GB ram.

Absolutely nobody is gonna pay 1000€ for a Xiaomi.
In stores, I barely ever see anyone look at Xiaomi phones that are displayed, and not a single person ever looks at the Xiaomi 13.
Everyone goes for Samsung and Apple, even Pixel struggles to attract people. And it's not like Xiaomi and Google aren't trying, they spend a lot of money of these displays.
