AnonD-43136, 05 Jun 2013In uk theyre still selling galaxy ace! I feel so sorry for ... moreC'mon now. Jelly Bean is free of lag, at least on my SGS3. Fast as h*ll! Only poorly programmed apps are able to crash the phone, but the Android system never crashes. Also my battery lasts easily for 2 days with medium use. Maximum battery life has been around 5 days on light use. Because of the small-ish screen, it's pretty easy to use this device for 3 days on a single charge.

There is no reason for calling Android a laggy system, because those days are long gone. :) It WAS laggy back in the 2.3 -days, but since the ICS 4.0.3 was released.. No lag anymore.

iOS and WP both are too simplified for me. When I use those systems, they leave me the feeling of using a S40-based dumb-phone.. Not suitable for being called as an smartphone operating systems.

I feel so sorry for people that are getting a new galaxy ace on 24month-contract! _ I mean that phone is already ancient! Only good thing is 5mp snapper and iphonish design. Makes more sense than new budget phone on jb that lags and cant support nothing! Iphone best bet for average jo as its easy to use, doesnt need stupid quad/octa processors to run without lag and looks better than cheap looking samsung! Basically android is for big kids! Iphone also keep value far better than Andyroid!:-)

Now google is following the footsteps and releasing giant phone UI on 10 inch tablets.

Here is the result of google's bad tablet UI decision:
                  - Hardware buttons on Samsung's 3rd gen Tablets. (JB software keys + statusbar took up so much space, they have to remove the software keys and retain the statusbar Just for looks).

Only Sony realise the folly of the UI .. and at least tried to fix in the sony tablet z.. (Yet to be seen)

Trying to unify phone with tablet UI? Take a look at what microsoft did with windows 8 (merge tablet with desktop), lots of angry fanboys and boycott.

Because people for whatever reason are still buying the GALAXY F******G ACE, why oh why is the world doing this to me.

Get with the program people, it's not worth it, majority of the people buying the ace are old and don't understand about rooting so the internal memory issue is always going to cause problems "YEA BUT I BOUGHT A 32GB CARD", "Doesn't matter m8 it's your interna..... fail" stop it please the world, the ACE sucks so hard it's like buying a CD for a record player it's going to suck.

But again there is no way to count how many factory resets have been done during this time, because factory reset means the os is in the same state as when you bought the phone.

I've been opting out of updates to anything past 4.0. I don't feel like trading away a desktop internet experience (that's pocketable) in exchange for the occasional two-finger-dragged multiple-line notification upgrade. Project Butter, only affects the built-in animations..which I usually leave off as well, so that's a nullified benefit (and small at best on any decent hardware). A singlecore GB (2.3) android can play licensed/protected 720HD video via Flash, any online media requiring (almost any level of) protection will not be able to be shown via HTML5. AKA, there is a ton of online media that WILL NOT MAKE IT TO HTML5! As in never. I want to hear that Android will re-invest in Flash, or at least try to steer more towards compatibility rather than purposely trying to block a plug-in that obviously still works on 4.2.

Google decide to merge both same.

No more tablet interface since release of JB 4.2

Android 4.2 already behave like phone, notification at top, need drag down.

Yeah I think so. Many people still stay in Gingerbread. I use Galaxy Ace 2 running in Jelly Bean. For the display and features, well, Jelly Bean is good. But,in my opinion upgrade to Jelly Bean from ICS or Gingerbread is not as better as buy Android with preloaded Jelly Bean.
