Samsung Galaxy A35 runs Geekbench with Exynos 1380

14 February 2024
The A35 will use last year's mid-range Exynos chip, the Galaxy A55 will get the new Exynos 1480 instead.

Zero, 14 Feb 2024A54 uses UFS 2.2 and UFS since 2.0 is not prone to stutters... moreUfs is just controller, it means nothing if nand inside is low Quality, check notebookcheck review of A54, it has really slow storage, slower than A34 and in some case slower than devices with Emmc.

Like random write (4kb) is just 70MBps for comparison average of ufs 2.2 is 180MBps.

To understand how bad that is Xiaomi redmi 12C with Emmc storage has 123MBps of same random write benchmark. That's almost twice speed from Emmc.

But people will blame Exynos anyway.

I don't get what all of you are saying here the exynos 1380 is slightly better than sd 778g and on par with sd 7s gen 2 . I have been using a54 for almost 7 months i faced overheating and battery drain only in the beginning but after a couple.of updates this soc performance goods not sacrificing anything. No overheating or battery drain. After pubg mobile has been optimized for this soc a54 can run this game at smooth 60 fps without any issue. Hdr+ultra can also be played without any issue. Those who complain should use a54 now and see for themselves
Here is a screenshot of a54 reaching a geekbench score of 2989 multi core score which is more than sd 778g

I have not faced any lag in the phone only time i saw lag was when phone is restarted and it takes a bit of time to load things smoothly but once it starts to get going its buttery smooth

Also we talk about this dozens of time but you guys still spread this misinformation, stutter in device are caused by slow storage (like A54) and not soc, Cortex A78 in E1380 is same as A78 in 778G same in sd 7s gen 2 etc. As long as Samsung upgrade storage and use faster nand then there will be no stutter issue.

MakeMotoBetterAgain, 14 Feb 2024What a downgrade, now all of samsung's midrange option... moreHow is it downgrade? When it upgrade both Cpu and Gpu?

MakeMotoBetterAgain, 14 Feb 2024What a downgrade, now all of samsung's midrange option... moreIt's all Exynos and overpriced from here on out. At least the Exynos part can get better over time, but the price is not justifiable anymore

ashrobb, 14 Feb 2024Should have used the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 like its competito... moreWell, and even worse for Exynos 1380 just like the Exynos 1280 before it, nerfed UFS 2.2 speeds that only output around 500 MB/s for both sequential read and sequential write. The normal UFS 2.2 speeds in today's standards do around 1,000 MB/s for the same aforementioned two tasks.

IMO is a fine upgrade, 1380 is pretty much an 778g
On another note thank god they added a camera hole instead of a pill

what i dont like is the ugly bezels..why they didn't make it even just little thinner?

Should have used the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 like its competitors do. Using RN13P 5G and it flies with this thing.
Exynos 1380 uses an older process and it is less optimized.
