AnonD-70078, 05 Jun 2013Think Il wait for more details. . This could be false.. Loo... moreof course it could be fake, or an early prototype.

There is not enough details known, so it could have wireless charging, in the end.
But why would you need that?
Still very few devices support it, and the necessary charing pads still costs a lot. And have no real benefits.
The ones that support multible charging, well, what other devices would you charge? The only thing you bring on a daily basis, is your phone.
And if has AMOLED screen, I rather see a docking with pins to connect to those metal pins on the back, where I could put my phone on the nightstand and use it as a clock, than have it laying on its back and not telling me the time, but telling it to the roof like it would on a charging pad, that really isnt wireless as it has wires to connect to the wall.

Wireless charging is interesting when it works through the air (no commercial devices is doing that), or when you need a lot of devices to charge over night and simply just place them all on the charging pad (but few devices uses the same charging technology and few people have a lot of devices they need to charge, thei phone does it or, and their tablet need a high output charger anyway).

Today the wireless charging is mainly a gimmick for most people. A good stand and connection thru pins is at least as usefull.

But then there are a lot of other details not know about this device, like time of arrival. Chipset. camera resolution and performance of that system. Display technology, resolution and performance. Battery capacity and batterylife. Wireless technology, like bluetooth version, LTE support and so on. Storage capacity and expansion possibilities (large storage is very important for a good camera). Audio recording technology and performance. Weight and actual size. Ringtone volumes. The systems ability to handle picture at full resolution. And what others have managed to put on to the market at that time.

Art, 05 Jun 2013why destroy a beautiful hardware with laggy software?I have a few Android devices, and have found them ok, but with time, they get more and more buggy. It usually solves with an update (to the same version already onborad, but as a clean install). But when apps after time gets more and more updates, the system usually gets buggy, and is seems like its not the apps in question, but the procedure of how installas and updates are performed.

I'm not convinced WP8 will be problem free.
But I sure feel like changing OS at this time.

And with an 8" Windows 8 tablet plus a smartphone phone with tethering the OS would not really matter any more.

808er, 05 Jun 2013Looking at the circular bump on the back I see a stability ... moreI dont see a problem with the shape of the hole, most cameras have round lenses, and it probably fits other technology inside instead of just the lens on ordinary cameras... Perhaps it can be claimed that it should have a finger grip, in rubbery material at the other end, like the one found on the 808 PureView (but bigger for a good grip). But I guess that will be a accessory, so it wont make the phone bigger than it has to be.

Looking at the circular bump on the back I see a stability problem holding in hand... The fake photos on the web with a rectangular camera bump (acts like a finger holder as 808) looks better for me.

Testing, 05 Jun 2013Sony Honami will destroy that Eos.why, with a smaller sensor and fewer pixels to oversample? and probably no tricks like oversampling either... Sony Mobile is not the same company as Sony Electronics.

Doesn't look promising for batterylife, however...
No one likes thick phones, but if it needs to be thick to fit camera module inside, I see no reason not to make it the same thickness, througout, to fit a high capacity battery inside.

But it could be fake, all you need is a 3D printer these days.

But when will these new cameraphones arrive?
Sony Honami (the Sony RX-100 is the one to beat in the compact camera segment, so perhaps they will make something right this time, if Carl Zeiss rumours are true they might very well have)
Samsung S4 Zoom (if its not a booring camera with a mobile fitted to it, sure it wont be top of the line as the rest, but for those looking for a combo of phone and camera this could still be the one)
Note III, if it comes with OIS (what else will they pack, zoom is probably out of the question, but Xeon flash and a good sensor are not)
And this from Nokia (how well will the optics do this time, last time the optical resolution was only about 50% of the sensor, and therefore made full resolution pictures less usefull, they could have done a 20MP sensor with more subpixels instead, but its non the less still the king of cameraphones, with N8 and 925/928/920 the other top dogs, sorry HTC and Sony).
