The pictures in the grass look really fake, they look like they have been made up from other pictures. Take a closer look by yourselves. :(

now, this phone design makes pureview 808 looks better, why a big circle in back, i know its hard to put big camera module in there but why, it looks like the phone will sit on its camera when put to desk or anywhere...
why not just make the phone as thick as the came module... it looks like a tumor now... dont they have any other idea???

I hope you hold on to your argument when the galaxy zoom gets announced in a few weeks and for the Sony Honami announcement as well. I am not saying you are one of these people, but some guys like to bash other companies products when they see them getting shine for something due to brand loyalty. Yet if a similar product were to come out for their favorite brand they would be over the moon. Just look at the guys who bashed 1080p on the DNA.

As for it being thicker than the 920, the source for the original leak says its about 1mm thinner as well as lighter than the 920.

As for your DSLR comparisons; of course a small phone isn't going to come close to your expensive canon DSLR and I doubt anyone has any expectations of it doing that. Comparing a product that targets one end of the market to one that targets a completely different end of the market does not make a justifiable reason to not buy a product.

Your argument is akin to saying, "a gt86 doesn't even come close to an audi r8 so what's the point of it." Of course it doesn't and no one expects it to. It doesn't have leather seats, carbon fiber, ceramic breaks and fancy tech, but it handles like a 911, and for that in a package that people can afford they will go out in droves for it even though they can get a better car for the same price.

If it were the case that the sensor here could not compete with p&s sensors as well as a few micro 4/3rd ones and could only barely beat smartphone cams; you saying something along the lines of, "It can't even compete with galaxy cam or a finepix", would be a reasonable argument against the device. An apples to oranges comparison as a basis to not buy a device is simply facetious.

                As for this argument:

"so beside the cam, what other features does this device have that is worthy of getting when it comes to shopping for a smartphone?"

If I were to answer this I would say everything plus a damn good camera. (unless you want to argue about android)

This has been used against Nokia since the 808 down to the 920.Lets say this device comes out with a 1080p, s600 processor and a 2200mah battery. Spec wise it would be comparable to the competitor like how the 920 was when it released (yet this argument was still be used). No one would ask the question what do the other devices have to offer that's better. Its reasonable to see why though, because Nokia markets these stand out features so much that if you don't research it would seem like the other specs are not noteworthy. So I ask you what will the other devices have that's better?

If you don't want to carry a big device, that's your opinion, I can't argue with that because we all have different tastes. I on the other hand have no problem with its size. I bought I 920, I like its size and weight and I feel I probably won't have a problem with this device. If I my 920 were to suffer some mishap I would probably get a htc one(if I had the cash now I would probably get one still lol).

I'm sure there are more like you who will be discouraged by the size, but what can Nokia Do? Break the laws of physics? They already achieved something making this thinner than the 808, they can only do so much.

There are also people like me who won't have a problem and buy the device. People have anticipated this ever since the 808 purview and have been itching for a device with a modern os and the same tech and they will probably get this too. If you look around the comments there are folks excited for the device and some of them will likely buy it too.

Just because it doesn't fit your preferences doesn't mean that people don't like it or won't buy it. Some just appreciate the technological achievement (myself)and want it.

Ohhhhh snap! Was afraid they would use this Lumia 920 design that I hate with a passion. Now the trick here is to get a white one so that the black accents can mask it's form. And it damn well better have OIS

Truly state of the art phone! EOS best camera phone and best OS. Looks like a quality device. Amazing to put a 41 mp cam into a relatively svelte form factor. This will be my next phone hands down!

AnonD-142926, 06 Jun 2013"No one really asked about what you do and don't need?... moreYes, that's what you get for acting like someone begged or forced you to consider the latest tech in smartphone photography. "No, thank you. I don't need..." has a proper response: no one cares.

Would you go to a truck website and say "18 wheels? No thank you. I don't need 18 wheels to get to work." They'd tell you to just get lost. Same here.
