The system can start the engine and move the car forward, even if you are not in it and are not touching the screen - looking at the relevant option is all it takes.

    Kind of cool that its possbile but a tap would be better for precision and safety i guess.

      Since reading the article im still scratching my head thinking of a situation when this feature is gonna be useful.
      And when when the car stsrts moving how you gonna stop it if you are pulling it from a tight space.by the time the phone registers the comand to stop it the car is gonna move a couple of feet more because you have to look away from the phone.and isnt it easier to just hit a button instead of spending a couple of seconds?
      Isnt it better to use the phone's gyroscope to control the movement of a car with instant start and stop touch buttons?
      I get it it's gust a concept and it's gonna grow in features. But my god,there is something very funny about this one.

Imagine you saw someone beating up someone else on the pavement. Now, the moment you see this happening, you're going to definitely at least stare for 2-3 seconds. This will suddenly make the car ram over the attacker, and so you've suddenly prevented crime from properly happening. Governments would love this, even if it makes ordinary people unintentionally cause violence that brings about justice.

          Extremely wacky scenario that went through my head. If this sounds weird to you, then I'm not surprised, cause I had the same reaction as to why I thought that.

            NOT what i expectsd when reading the title. My eyes fooled lol.

              why not rely on face recognition to start a car? that would make much more sense rather than eye tracking. it's not like if their phones have some iris scanner like in galaxy s9. if some application can utilize its iris scanner inside s9 to start a car, that would be so ahead of its time.
