soldered on ssd would be a disaster for laptops. we don't want another macbook air running windows.

I am looking to upgrade my laptop. The Redmi Book pro 16 looks really promising and most importantly it comes without numpad. Really difficult to find windows laptop (16 inch) without numpad nowadays. Intel core ultra processor and bigger 99Wh battery makes it cherry on top, good for battery life.

HyperionBurn, 22 Feb 2024macbook killer? lolIf battery life and performance without plugged in to the outlet is great and there is little to no fan noise then yes.
But i doubt and we will have to wait for arm Windows laptop to get those and still probably 2024 arm soc from Mediatek or Qualcomm is not having enough performance to rival Apples m3/m4, maybe 2025-2026 they can get closer to Apple.
I just hope arm based Windows laptops will be priced low enough at least before performance could rival Apple.

Is it a good idea to sell my M1 MBA and upgrade to this? I'm seriously considering it, I don't mind sacrificing the battery life and the lack of fan noise for a much better hardware.

Slim laptops goes on🔥 with an intel Core Ultra Hybrid CPUs and USB-C cable for charging any devices. Like Redmi Book Pro *24 and other slim laptops might need great competition on lowering the price for our consumers.

Pretty solid specs, large batteries, bright screens...can't complain there! Not currently in the market but might be next year when Zen 5 and Arrowlake/Lunar Lake are prevalent.

Laptops can easily last 5 to 6 years with me, by that time we'll be on 6G which will be capped by the limited WiFi 6! So if it's not WiFi 7 then it's not future-proofing which means not a suitable purchase for me.
