The newer IPS displays are great. Yes in close inspection of fine detail the IPS display is a little clearer and slightly more color accurate than pentile Amoled...That's about it...and less energy consumed with white....That's it.

That's why they are an advanced chip, electronics, and display maker. Which is why so many companies user their parts. It's not a fanboy conspiracy. They are just ahead in production. I like LG and they are great and really would prefer not to get into all this who's better bs, but all you trollers are so jealous and butthurt. if you want to fight facts the fact is Samsung is better like it or not.
Like when they were making Retina macbook displays. then stopped and crapple switched to LG and they couldnt keep up with the quality or production. they are forums littered with people complaining and needing returns and with faulty problems and even claiming they were lucky if the somehow got a Samsung one cause it worked better and didn't have faulty issues.

in real life s4's screen looks very DIRTY UGLY on white.
IPS is also more brighter.
