gameravid, 27 Feb 2024Putting a Peltier chip inside a phone would damage its inte... moreYou won't get moisture if you keep the peltier far from freezing by regulating its voltage. All the phone needs to do is to lower temp by 10-15 Celsius from 55+ Celsius when the chip is running super hot. By regulating the voltage to peltier, you also won't drain the battery as much as getting it to freezing point.

Actually more smartphone brands, nowadays, should follow this active cooling concept. It's because the chipset, including the battery, heats up very fast especially if the chipset is almost at flagship level or somehow really fast to temp up for more than 40°C. I can actually see occasional stuttering & screen tearing when a device heats up above +40°C. It can somehow compromise the overall smoothness & integrity of the UI of a smartphone. So adding a cooling feature for smartphones or even tablets is a necessity nowadays, seeing also that our current chipset technology gives off much more unneeded heat, we need to keep our devices cool as much as possible so as to avoid any leaked fire accidents or sudden explosions caused by usage under direct sunlight or even in intense & extreme multitasking workloads.

AnonD-641645, 26 Feb 2024There goes your IP ratingWould be incredible if someone managed active cooling and be compatible with IP68 rating, waiting for such a phone.

Excited for this gaming phone-ditch the TEC/peltier, just use a fan like Red magic. Poco is out of touch being late with high prices, and lacking bypass charging. Tecno/Infinix more value for money with bypass charging even at low end models. I hope the consider infrared feature as I use it multiple times a day.

As much as I appreciate infinix for stepping up their hardware game,
I want them to do the same in their software department
Like seriously.

David 040882, 27 Feb 2024Well, an upgrade should've been out by now, with a bet... moreThe fast charging, the display, the main camera and the ultrawide with AF were, and are the impressive parts of that phone. Some flagships don't even offer AF on their ultrawide cameras, which doesn't impress me, but I do agree that an upgrade should've been out by now, and there might just be one soon, with the Dimensity 9300.

A change in temperature of 10 degrees C is equal to a change of 50 degrees F? A temperature of -20 C is equal to -4 C? Wow, the new things that one gets to learn from gsmarena!

IpsDisplay, 26 Feb 2024Finally I always wanted to see the active cooling treatment... moreperhaps it would come with its successor, the GT 20 Turbo. would be much better if it comes with IPS LCD, so no worries about burn in. usual games have their HUDs static. which can cause burn in if prolonged gaming.
