    low-end = 1tb 150$ phone 8gb ram
    mid-tier = 2tb 300$ phone 12gb ram
    high-end = 4tb 600$ phone 16gb ram

If they launch 4.0 microsd card than every brand should bring sd back in their mid range

Hopefully this won't be the last smallest storage chip ever created for any smartphone in the upcoming years to come. There will always be more miniature upgrades to make it even more smaller than this, that's for sure!👍💪🤯

rizki1, 27 Feb 2024"The major reason Micron brought the smaller solution ... moreYet the Zenfone 10 is an even smaller phone known for it's excellent battery life in day to day use? Idk what OEMs are fitting in that needs so much more space than that when phones like the Zenfone(which may sadly be following the trend) pack in most essentials anyway.

How this article makes it sound.

OEMs: Hey Micron we really need more space in our phones

Micron:Oh shit I've never thought about that.

Hackbox, 27 Feb 2024now UFS 4.0 Price will get reduce. so it will be this trend.ufs 3.1 may get cheaper once the 4.0 is being used on more flagship or even possibly upper midrange devices.

just hoping their ufs 4.0 lasts longer. something comparable to samsung.

yay! They saved 2 mm! Instead of phones 5'' back in the day, something went really wrong here

IpsDisplay, 27 Feb 2024"OEMs, who said they wanted more room for larger batte... moreHow about saying " tired of exmor RS, should use only exmor T" ?

Impossible, since your favorite brands do not have access to this. Oooops.

In 3 years my next samsung sUltra will have 6000mah battery.

I don't believe the OEMS.. but I hope I'm wrong

Tired of 5000mah batteries let's make 6000mah the norm

Very soon you will see Samsung comes out with 8x13.

rizki1, 27 Feb 2024"The major reason Micron brought the smaller solution ... moreThe Xiaomi 14, ASUS Zenfone 8/9/10, and Sony Xperia 5 series are still considered compact since smartphones nowadays use tall screens. In the olden days, it was not hard to differentiate compact and "normal" smartphones because of the shorter 16:9 or 18:9 aspect ratio.

                                    [deleted post]Congratulations 🎉

"The major reason Micron brought the smaller solution is feedback from smartphone OEMs, who said they wanted more room for larger batteries."

This is why almost no brands want compact phones, even if they want to have to sacrifice significant battery size. And the Xiaomi 14 is an almost perfect phone, big battery with a size that is not too big.

Assuming there isn't a catch, and there doesn't seem to be any, then this is great.
