Windows have to do this because they are lagging behind Huawei PC which already had this feature and allows seamless connect to their Harmony OS phone to use the phone video cam. Nevermind Apple but to be behind the Chinese is big slap in their face.

Solid move by Microsoft. I'm sure they wish Windows Phone would have stuck around for this, but this is a nice quality of life feature for an Android user like myself.

Scrcpy offers you that since Android 11, on Windows 10, 11, Linux and MacOS. It allows you to choose any camera of the phone (maybe even the depth one in the future), with high-speed support, sound and all the stuff. It only lacks UVC support, so it does not appear as a webcam on Windows, only on Linux through V4L2.
It just needs USB Debugging since, of course, it works over ADB.

I am not interested in this feature but, this is a must feature to add to win10. the main idea is avoiding users switching to macOS, not forcing win10 users to switching to win11. I think they will spread it to win10,too.
