The new flat frame design is just not executed well enough with the sharp edges and it is a turn-off for me. While the Iphone 15 also has a flat frame design, it's edges are not that sharp and feel much better in the hand. The 23 feels better in the hand compared to the new s24 flat frame design.

Stripey , 04 Mar 2024Round bezels is not just a personal preference. Back in the... morerounded frames known to have the best ergonomics. because flat frames are now considered the design trend, which something already existed since iphone 4. or few xperia phones.

The problem with Exynos is the fabrication, and Samsung is just not doing well up till the 2400 on 4nm. With Qualcomm utilizing their custom Oryon cores instead of ARM's default, Qualcomm will gain a huge performance leap that cannot be matched by Exynos (which relies on ARM's default cores). We'll see what happen next year. It is going to be a new exciting year for mobile.

Round bezels is not just a personal preference. Back in the day manufacturers focused on something called ergonomics, nonexistent nowadays.

People keep whining about small sizes but time has shown again that small or mini phone don't sell, after all, majority carries the vote and also companies are in for profit, shocker

So performance wise, Exynos will surely be behind, thus they better make up for it in efficiency. Samsung fabrication is the problem with previous Exynos. Hopefully they improve it.

You can go Sony, it's smaller in width, making it easier to handle, but it's taller. Other than those and the Zenfone, that's pretty much it, unless you're willing to find the old iPhone 13 mini.

How shamelessly Samsung retired their traditional rounded bezels for iPhone flat bezels is ridiculous.

exynos were notorious for battery life and thermal management. atleast if samsung puts more time and effort to avoid this. their new 2400 may distribute more heat than 2200. no surprise because that chip is designed for ultra basic messaging and scrolling social media. something you can do on a $80 device. idk, let's see how it fares in real life.

The Zenfone, albeit with a 5.9" screen (which I already find excessive), is actually larger than the S23, thanks to Asus apparent ineptitude when it comes to producing small bezels.
