Anonymous, 03 Mar 2024Isn't the ideal size for a 7.5" wrist more like 4... moreNope. lug2lug is the most important metrics, you could have a Seiko Tuna which has 45mm in diameter fit totally fine since it's got basicly no lugs. But 48-52mm watched in diameter carried around on ordinary folks's wrists is hilarious since people look like total idiots. Just like you had pants 4 sizes too big, or 4xl sweater while your fit is M:)))))
I get it that screen real estate matters, but it's still a watch per se, aesthetics didn't go out the window just because it's a smart watch!:) When companies make products that they know nothing about, this shit happens!

Anonymous, 04 Mar 2024Really? It goes toe-to-toe with the AW in health and sleep ... moreIt's not as good as the AW but it's among the best, if not the best, in the Android sphere.
You can watch the review from "The quantified scientist" on youtube. He gives a lot of interesting data about each watch's tracking accuracy

Anonymous, 03 Mar 2024Isn't the ideal size for a 7.5" wrist more like 4... moreThere is no such thing as an ideal size because different people have different opinions. However, people with 7.5" wrists can handle 44 mm watches. They may prefer 40 mm or smaller watches, though.

Dr. Fauci, 03 Mar 2024The biggest issue with the current pixel watch 2 is the sle... moreIME, sleep tracking is super good, and the battery life issue can be fixed by disabling WiFi; its completely unnecessary (all data will just come though bluetooth from your phone insead) and disabling it can literally DOUBLE battery life.
Although I also have AOD and raise to wake disabled, disabling WIFI made the biggest impact, and I now get between 48 and 72hrs of battery life depending on my activity.

Fearghast, 02 Mar 2024IMHO, the size is the least of the problems of this watch -... more“The only thing I like about Pixel Watch is the form factor - they are so small, so comfortable.” I agree; I especially like the round face.

I hope this comes with a bigger battery, but in sure somehow Google will mess it up and end up with 24hrs of low-use battery life again.
I'd be happy if they could get HALF of what Garmin can do, but apparently that's still too much to ask for.

I may be wrong, but this is being marketed more as as a fitness band now. Saw a roundup that has pixel as best fitness band and to watch or galaxy watch as best smartwatch. Anyways, it may be mean to throw on before the gym or a workout and less for daily use. Taste is subjective as we can see from fashion through the decades, centuries..

Also, these are smartwatches. They have displays made to provide infinitely more information than an analogue watch. Size matters and 40mm displays are simply too small to be useful, no matter how slim your wrists are.

It amazes me that people are running around with these big ass watches that look totally ridiculous on their wrists. I have a 7.5" wrist and the ideal size of the classic watch is from 36-40mm with lug2lug no more than 46. Maybe wouldn't hurt to learn something about watches and proportions which goes for the manufacturers as well!!!!

The biggest issue with the current pixel watch 2 is the sleep tracking is a hit or miss and poor battery life.

Mine is 47mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. A little bit heavy and large but cool overall. Larger screen is much better.

Lister , 02 Mar 2024I get where you're coming from here, as a Pixel and Ap... moreI use the PW2 as a tracker (mainly for HR and sleep) and I believe it's the most accurate for that, aside from the Apple watches. Battery life is like 2/2,5 days (on airplane mode) which isnt great but still fine for me. Hopefully the next one will make it to 4 days
