Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G will come with an Air Gesture feature

02 March 2024
It's launching in India this month.

This feature has been tried multiple times by multiple companies and never took off, i wont be surprised if this feature is gone in the next device.
Key examples of this are the Galaxy s4, LG G8, and the Google Pixel 4

This reminds me of the gestures that Samsung used to put in their Galaxy S3 and S4 phones.

They never took off for obvious reasons.

        65% fewer preinstalled apps? 😂

Create a problem then market the solution.

Galaxy S4 already had that 🤣

If only there's a real & complete third-party Air Gesture App that you can download in the Google Play Store. But that Air Gesture App uses only the Proximity Sensor, not with the Camera sensor with Ai features. Could really be useful if you want touchless interactions to your smartphone.

A few old lg smartphones used to have such a feature if I remember, where the palm became the way to unlock the phone, play yt videos, pause music etc

Let's see if this will be another unreliable gimmick, a la the LG G8.

Ah yes. Something that LG and others did before, and almost everyone found ridiculous. In my opinion it is a curious gimmick that isn't useful (That's why it was quickly discontinued by LG lol)
