I think s3 mini already dropped its price lower than this ace3. Ace 1 is a hit, but this one? I doubt if it could make a little success. Samsung need to bring more competition on midrange. Anyway I hope s4mini would come to a reasonable price.

All Samsung's Galaxy smartphones do suck in design & look except Galaxy S4 Active.
Galaxy S4 Active is more worth to buy than the Galaxy S4. What's the good from a 13MP digital camera with narrow FOV from Galaxy S4?
What I mean is reduced size of megapixels on Galaxy S4 Active to 8MP & not using SAMOLED screen are not the dealbreakers while you'll get the exchange benefits from those 2 which withdrawed by IP67 Water & Dust proof certification and as well as better tough/macho design instead of the girly plasticky Galaxy S3's design while other specs and price tag remain the same with Galaxy S4.

AnonD-28416, 10 Jun 2013I'm using the original Galaxy Ace that I bought early last ... moreReally...if u think those model have a same design you need to get your eyes check...every that phone have not more but some different in design but Samsung is stick with the same for all the model...the worst thing is, you can't tell them apart whether its a ace or s model..they only change the placing of the camera and flash...that's it..who want that for a new phone..you want to argue that who need design when you got nice spec...then you live in a Stone Age my freind...on today's world of technology..design is as important as spec...you buy a $600 s4 and then people assume its s3...that's a laugh..

It's like Toyota produces car with nice spec, but Toyota produces every car with a "almost same design" for every car range (like sedan, hatchback, SUV and etc.) and whenever Toyota flooded several advertisement saying that a whole new version of Toyota Camry is coming out, but eventually it ends up with the 90% same design just with the upgraded spec (like engine, rims, slightly higher fuel capacity and etc.), tot adding few additional features on it like built-in GPS and etc. And this repeat in every other range of Toyota's car for about 2+ years and it seems Toyota is gonna continue using this same design all over again for all Toyota's car in the future.
Some ppl are pointing out that Toyota should have made some changes on their design and you think they just want it for showing off? Perhaps, quite a few ppl buying Lamborghini/Ferrari is meant for showing off, but the rest are not. They just want a "new car" instead of a "spec-upgraded car" and they don't want to spend 100k $$ to buy a brand new Toyota Camry but end up his neighbor thought it was a Toyota Altis or Last-year's Toyota Camry...

Geez, $300+ for a ugly phone with an outdated spec sheet? Go for a Nexus 4 and just endure the additional $50; you get 4x the horsepower and efficiency, not to mention speedy OS Updates.

I'm using the original Galaxy Ace that I bought early last year & it's good @ what it does, far better than my girlfriend's(& my cousin's) Lumia 510 which is mediocre in every aspect, be it software or hardware & they always admire my phone. Well, this new design is contemporary by Samsung standards & I see the same or @least similar design in Nokia Lumias, Sony, Blackberries & well, 1 phone by Apple. I'd like 2 have the new Ace 3 coz it's a good mid-ranger.
