If both work their way into making their phones more present in global market, things will start to get very complicated/competitive for Motorola, who seems to be too comfortable doing mediocre phones overall with a very few yet great exceptions, and Xiaomi, who keeps rebranding old phones for midrange and entry levels while struggling a lot to beat Samsung and Apple in flagships.

Solid upgrade in hardware. 8050 to 8200 is massive (720k to 800/900K AnTuTu 10) as well as that RAM increase. Speaking of which, This Dynamic RAM, RAM+ or Virtual RAM bullshit is fake, it does nothing to help the system operate, just cheap marketing gimmicks.

Besides that tangent, Infinix AND Tecno is heading in the right trajectory! Tecno Camon 30 series seems potent, especially their Pro and Premier, with beefier chipsets (and 1144hz on Pro) Transsion is doing a good job, starting this year off with 5 phones using flagship MediaTek chipsets. Not sure what itel is doing to lighten their load.

I hope that the battery drain issue and heating issue won't happen here. They should think about improving the battery life and cooling system

The CAMON 30 Pro 5G's design consists of a right-sided LED flash outside of the camera island instead of left-sided in other three models of the series. The headphone jack is usually placed at the right side of the device when the phone's back side is in front, just like the CAMON 20 Pro 5G (which is my phone); but in this case, say goodbye to headphone jack and microSD card slot. Don't blink or you'll miss it.

if they kept the 3.5mm jack, that would be a proper budget gaming phone. or mSD slot if optional. this phone will have some cooling !!🤩🤩

If so that's a massive disappointment.

“A gaming phone isn’t about peak performance, but about sustained performance. That’s what you’re paying for.”
                                  Remember this, before you buy.

still super fast SoC, it looks like the D8300 will only be used by Poco/Redmi like the Poco F5 with 7+ Gen 2. Currently only Poco uses the D8300 and only Poco also uses 7+ Gen 2.. both are super fast. Poco seems to be banning other brands from using it.

Let's see what else Infinix has hidden under its sleeves. Tecno is already making its phone line-up much more solid and coherent over the last few years. Hope Infinix can do the same.

By the way, Dimensity 8200 is an excellent upgrade.

The main con about the Infinix GT 20 Pro 5G is... losing both headphone jack and microSD card slot since it will share the base frame of the TECNO CAMON 30 Pro 5G, just like what Transsion did between CAMON 20 Pro 5G and GT 10 Pro 5G with their headphone jacks and microSD card slots intact.
